I don't even need to comment -- just read this:
""Frankly, even if both Republican candidates lose, Republican leaders are long overdue for a big loss to help them figure out where their bread is really buttered. They've become arrogant and non-responsive to the clear majority of conservatives in their party. Propping up Arnold is but the most recent example of their outrageous behavior.
Also, a Republican loss would serve as an object lesson to so-called Republican pundits who were much too quick to jump on Arnold's bandwagon. Hear this pundits: Winning simply to say you have done so is winning nothing. Moreover, it is Schwarzenegger who is the spoiler, not McClintock. If Schwarzenegger is the great savior of California you have painted him to be, then it is he who must drop out and soon. "

What I would like to know is how can people, who are clearly rooting for a loss for the Republican party call themselves Republican, and act as if they were the "true" Republicans. I never figured out how knowingly working for a Dem victory makes one a "true Republican".

Is this you or just a namesake?

Wasn't it the CA GOP who didn't want the recall in the first place and was willing to leave Californians in the hands of Davis so Boxer and Davis could be tied together for the 06 elections? Or was that the National GOP?

Frankly, even if both Republican candidates lose,...Losing is never an option it's a conservative flaw.

Losing is never an option it's a conservative flaw. And the worst part is that it's self-inflicted.

The aren't " True Republicans " nor any type of of one. They aren't Conservatives either. These are the people who delusionally imagine that GOP losses " teach the party a lesson " and actually enjoy being miserable. They're the DOG IN THE MANGER/ ALL OR NOTHING CROWD , who are happiest, when they and everyone else is miserable beyond endurance.

It would make logic for Tom to drop out of the race to ensure Arnold Wins. Tom is not playing the democrats against the republicans. Tom is actually giving the democrats at least a 20% of the vote handicap. Now if Tom or Arnold wins this recall, it will be more then fare.

Losing is never an option It sure as hell isn't a virtue either. When principle turns into self-destructive behavior it is time to question the judgment, if not the motive, of those exhibiting that behavior.

I neither wrote this article, nor do I agree with the proposition that it sets forth.

I am relieved to hear it. :)

Correct. It's a conservative death wish...a fear of success.

Reagan would tell Tom that its time for him to go, cause Mr. Reagan knew that if you don`t win, you can`t rule. Arnold has this in the bag if Tom decides that he doesn`t want to be the next Ross Priot
