Sometimes no comment is neccessary.

Among the items allegedly stolen by the group were dozens of cases of cigarettes, Sudafed, Tylenol, Crest White Strips, malt liquor, glucose blood test kits and glucose blood test strips.

Now there is an odd list. But all high priced light items.

This is interesting. I have a friend who was in the coastal area of California recently. He saw a large truck back into the driveway of the cottage next door to where he was staying. The cargo appeared to be boxes and boxes of cigarettes delivered to the occupants of the home who are of Arab decent. Perhaps this is a nation wide crime. I told my friend he should contact the police when he told me this. I must show him this thread.

This is important. Any activity - legal or illegal - can be manipulated in such a way as to divert money to terrorism.

Pro-druggies on FR are always screaming that the Government is after them and that they're being persecuted. But the fact of the matter is that any business that is divided into small units (whether the unit is a street corner drug dealer, a gas station, or any other small retailer or shipper) is prime material for terrorist financing, and should be scrutinized.

Sometimes these crooked little businesses are doing food stamp fraud or something similar just to line their own pockets. But sometimes, it's a lot worse than that.

Shortly after 9/11/2001 it was reported that arab run tobacco shops were likely a source of cash, for terrorists.
