[history]
Sen. Christopher "Kit" Bond, R-Mo., fired his communications director, Ernie Blazar, Thursday after Bond viewed an anti-Democrat Web site that Blazar had constructed.
The site was named "N8354N" after the number on the tail of the plane that crashed in 2000 killing Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan, a Democrat, along with Carnahan's son, Randy, and aide Chris Sifford.

I have
NEVER heard of a Democrat Senator firing a staffer for going over the line. Perhaps it has happened, but I doubt the Democrat Party Operatives in Washington even
care whether their staffers obey the laws and rules of the institutions.
Kudos to Bond.

I would like more details about the content which has now been deleted.
However, just the use of the tailnumber of the downed plane is distasteful.

Obviously needs his head examined.

It was a bunch of left-handed complements toward Democrats by a supposed Democrat. Stuff like, "We can't let our party continue to ignore black people like they've done for so long or else blacks will wake up and desert us for the Republicans" and "it's truly a great loss that Joe Maxwell won't be running against Senator Bond -- he would have been a great candidate, but now we have no decent candidate to fall back on".

Actual site material follows:
In the possible candidacy of Mr. Simmons, the Missouri Democratic Party had an opportunity to really reach out and fire up African-American voters throughout Missouri. That opportunity is gone now.
Look for another round of recrimination from African-american leaders in the state -- mainly St. Louis -- about how white Democrats are once again taking African-American voters for granted.
That charge is as old as the answer from Missouri's white Democrats: trust us.
How long before that answer is no longer good enough?

Thanks for that link. It looks like it was designed to sow seeds of pessimism in the Rat party.
The actual content wasn't offensive, but it was a fraud. I'm sure the Rats wouldn't have any problem doing something similar, but we should be above this, and especially when it's coming out of the Governor's administration.

Kit Bond is the quintessential Senate mediocrity. I know that it is Holy writ that incumbents will never step down, but couldn't someone give him a brain transplant?
