That website is truly appalling.

"How could the participants of Vatican II set out, intentionally, to "correct", or to set up a "counter syllabus" to, that to which they all, without exception, had sworn, "with [their] whole heart," to "submit and adhere"? It is a puzzlement."

Can you say, M-a-r-t-i-n L-u-t-h-e-r?

I clicked on the two "critiques" of the Catechism of the Catholic Church on this site, one of which was by the SSPX and the other from the Abbe de Nantes.

Are you talking about something posted on the site, or links? People can have links to all sorts of places.

As long as you stay away from the goofy links, such as novusordowatch.org, which paints every post-conciliar Pope as a freemason, secularist, socialist, and heretic.

Virtually every site (especially personal sites as opposed to corporate ones) will have all kinds of links to everywhere. As far as Novus Ordo Watch, c'mon, don't tell me you don't love those pictures of dancing pagans, architectural monstrosities, etc. Great place to find links for outrageous photos.

Mine wouldn't. It especially wouldn't have links to "essays" which link to the Jewish Tribal Review.

Apologia is simply a reflection of a WWII veteran who thinks Church History ended in 1962.

"Perhaps the Catechism and the Vatican II documents could be criticized for their sometimes vague and mushy style of writing, but neither are heretical, or overturn Scripture or Tradition or the deposit if faith."

Would you bet your soul on that? The catechism claims that Muslims and Christians beleive in the same God, this is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, Whom the Mohammedans do not know. And it is heresy against the doctrine of the Divinity of Christ the King. You need only read some older catechism, such as the Catechism of Trent, to recognize that this new-age 'catechism' is dangerous to the Catholic faith.

841 The Church's relationship with Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day". (Pope JPII, page 223 - New Catechism of the Catholic Church).

"(Muslims) are the enemy of the Catholic faith"

Pope St. Pius V, March 5, 1571, Apostolic Constitution Salvatoris Domini

So now you are admitting that "Jewish Tribal Review" was a link from a link!

"To just trash the Pope and the Council and call people names rather than working within the Church to restore sound doctrine and worship is merely destructive. It is not constructive in the least and bears no fruit."

Where is all this "destruction" by traditionalists you speak about, other than in your own mind? The return to othodoxy has to begin somewhere, and people writing their thoughts and feelings about the devisive and destructive forces of Vatican II and the powers that perpetuate its U-turn from orthodoxy is where it must begin.

Words without passion are empty, devoid of life and spirit, just like the silly, ambiguous ramblings of the post Vatican II heirarchy and Churchmen ring so hollow. The greatest "destruction" I have ever witnessed in my entire life has been the destruction of the traditions and the reputation of Catholic Church by the 'spirit of Vatican II' and its fruits. And I do mean FRUITS.

Yes. So what? I got to it in two clicks.

Did you check out Catholic Counter-Reformation? Another doozy.

Oh, and did you see Pope.com, which excoriates Bruskewitz of Lincoln, attributing sinister motives to his defense of the Church against the Remnant crowd?

For all the nuttiness in the Novus Ordo, they're children compared to the loose screws in the "We Resist you to Your Face" herd.

I see no inconsistency. The Muslims may worship the same God, but their understanding of Him is false and full of error. It is a false religion, although some aspects shared with the Holy Catholic Church may be true Indeed, particularly when they practice physical jihad against Christians, Islam is the enemy of the Church. Vatican II does not contradict prior teachings, but merely emphasizes what unites us with other religions rather than what divides us. But it doesn't say that the latter is not present.

Thanks. I didn't get to the homepage until now. It appears this lady has done a tremendous amount of work. I noticed she also linked to EWTN, the 1992 Catechism and the papal spanking on liberation theology. The hysterical naysayers haven't found time to comment on that I see.

It was a link in the left hand column of the Apologia site. Under the link for Catechism it had two links to "Critiques of the Catechism".

So, as long as one trashes liberation theology and Vatican II, a little sede-vacantism and anti-semitism is just fine?

Wow, a link from a link from a link. So I guess if I read a post from a Catholic deacon on Free Republic which states "Eucharistic Miracles are superstitious nonsense", then I can accurately deduce Free Republic is an apostate, crackpot website as are all the links listed on its homepage?

Go back and retake Logic 101.

Who would have imagined you'd find a little anti-semitism linked to (but disavowed) on a trad website?

Your creative imagination will construct whatever serves your agenda.

BTW, I noticed you are the only one not upset by the news on Fatima. Big surprise. Oh wait, I forgot. A member of the N.O. Catholic clergy doesn't believe in Fatima.

I noticed you are the only one not upset by the news on Fatima.

The article from the Portuguese News reads like something from the Onion, a bit on the bizarre side.

However, since Fatima is an international shrine, I assume the Vatican is aware of all this and it is being done with full concurrence of Rome.

John Paul II is very much the ecumenist, so this doesn't surprise me.

NUN(N) DOLL OF THE MONTH,...

Now who, in their right mind, would want a Sam Nunn doll every month?

Even Zell Miller (ACU 47%) is more conservative than was Sam Nunn.

Why, Slinkspur, would you post a piece of crap like this?

There are plenty of anti-Christian-Judeo websites out there, but only satanists would frequent them.
