I stumbled across this page on the net...I haven't looked at the main site...

Seems to be a lot of things here I agree with...Any Protestant agreements, disagreements based on the bible???

The thread doesn't qualify for caucus protection because it makes statements about Catholic beliefs which must be open to rebuttal. The caucus label will be removed.

Since this is a post not favorable to Catholics, I believe the Protestant Caucus label should be removed so that Catholics might respond to the fraudulent charges.

I think Catholics should just go PPPHHTTTTTH! and then get back to enjoying Sunday. This is drivel.

Bwahahahahaha....not a valid argument in this rambling dissertation.....Delusional at best.....

There's always that church in Florida with the self proclaimed Anti Christ available for anyone who doesn't want to follow the teachings of the Catholic Church.....

Look there.....

I am not sure really what to say. The writing is immature, the arguments incomplete and amaturish. Are you sure this came from a pastor?

It appears to me to be a charge to the Catholics to change their ways, but it is more likely to be used as a basis for disagreeing with the Protestant point of view more than anything else.

Well, the first thing this author should do is learn something about Catholic doctrine. Most of his assumptions are blatantly wrong. Doesn't bode well for the rest of his so-called arguments.

Mary was the mother of the seed of David in which God was incarnated upon birth ...

Help me out here ... is this the Monophysite heresy, the Arian heresy, or one that I've forgotten?

(Pat's not speaking to me right now, or I'd ask him ...)

Why would you post this? This post says much more about you than the writer.

Today, Sunday, March 4, 2007 Second Sunday of Lent (Total Consecration - Day 12)
First Reading:Genesis 15:5-12, 17-18
Psalm:Psalm 27:1-1, 7-9, 13-14
Second Reading:Philippians 3:17 - 4:1 or 3:20 - 4:1
Gospel: Luke 9:28-36
Dismiss all anger and look into yourself a little. Remember that he of whom you are speaking is your brother, and, as he is in the way of salvation, God can make him a Saint, in spite of his present weakness. -- St. Thomas of Villanova

No, Protestant, er Christian disagreement here.

I add many Catholics will claim to be Christian but NO Christian will claim to be Catholic for the reasons stated in this post and others. Catholicism is simply not Biblical - an imitation of Christianity. I have ideas on who really heads the Catholic church ... it sure isn't Christ.

Why do (some) Protestants define themselves in contrast with Catholicism?

It's a phenomenon I will never understand. What the Catholics down the street do is fundamentally irrelevant to me. Yet one hears contrast after contrast from Protestant pulpits, pamphlets, and preachers. Is the raison d'etre for Protestantism that they aren't Catholics?

Wow! Who knew!?

So many valid points regarding Catholic Church dogma, I am overwhelmed and am hereby immediately rescinding my Baptism, and all the other wonderful Sacraments I and my family have received over the past many generations.

(Oh, dangit, I was just summoned by my wife to get ready for 9:45 Mass, maybe I'll join you later)

I have no anger...And, I have no clue as to who St. Thomas of Villanova is...

The author of the article makes it clear why any bible believing Christian would post this...

Lord Jesus I pray for all the good people in the Catholic church. I pray our Lord that you would open their eyes to see you were not a Catholic and they should not be either. As they open their Bible Lord Jesus and begin to seek for the true Church, guide them, love them, and lead them as our Good Shepherd. Lord I pray now you will bring them into the one fold of the True Church of Jesus Christ. Amen!

The first thing a Catholic learns when they open their Bible is they cannot buy their way out of hell fire.

The second thing a Catholic learns is that Jesus was not the founder of the Catholic Church.

The third thing a Catholic learns, is they do not receive Jesus Christ as Savior when the Eucharist wafer is placed on their tongue.

The fourth thing a Catholic learns is the Mass is not found in the Bible any where.

What is the fifth thing a Catholic learns is there is no confession booth in the Bible.

The sixth thing a Catholic learns is there is no Pope in the Bible and Peter was not the first Pope.

The seventh thing a Catholic learns is the 12 Apostles and New Testament Saints were not Catholic.

The eighth thing a Catholic learns is that Mary was never a Catholic.

The following links debunk the false assertions listed above. There are many more lies in the article to be dealt with, however.

I think Catholics should just go PPPHHTTTTTH! and then get back to enjoying Sunday. This is drivel.

It's drivel? DRIVEL? I am SEW disappointed! I had this neat idea where I would market a credit card and 1% of every purchase would go to your "Buy your way out of Purgatory" account. (and another 1% would go to MY "buy your way out of Purgatory" account, and another one per cent to finance all the sins I planned on committing since I was doing such a good job of buying God off.

And now you tell me it's drivel.

Some people are just no fun. I bet you're going to tell me to stop worshipping Mary next.
