Many Protestants are Catholic. They were baptized in the Catholic Church.

Mary was the mother of the seed of David in which God was incarnated upon birth ...Sounds at least Nestorian. But what I like about it is that it's okay to kill babies before they're born since they aren't really who they are until birth.

I LOVE this article. Let me go back and find MORE neat stuff.

That is truly one of the most uninformed screeds I have read in a long time.

The author should consult many books by Protestant converts to Catholicism who have faced and answered all those kinds of accusations.

Scott Hahn, Peter Kreeft and Dave Armstrong on the net are a few suggestions.

That's me ... no fun.

Cut up your credit cards, stop worshipping Mary, and learn to speak Greek.

(What sins, exactly ... and where and when? Should I bring sandwiches?)

Wow, I missed that!

I liked "the first thing a Catholic learns when he opens the Bible ..." though. The first thing I learned was, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, etc."

I wish the author had provided Scripture citations for his positions! (/s)

See http://jesus-messiah.com/apologetics/zondervan.html for some interesting tidbits about the author. And hey that DONATE HERE button on the main page, what's that all about?

I see one large reason in your postto remain faithful to my Creed. Why not use the word for us that you really want to use?(Papists) Where are the accusations of idolatry and polytheism because we "worship" Mary and "worship" statues?
I know it must be early where you are, but wake up and try harder.

But funny, in a way. Although not as fun as that translated-from-Italian piece a few days ago. "The discotheques went stargli" may take its place with "stuned beeber" as lasting phrase.

"I think Catholics should just go PPPHHTTTTTH! and then get back to enjoying Sunday. This is drivel."

Absolutely. I'm still thinking about the gospel this morning and sermon of The Transfiguration.

Good grief, at a time when the Christian church worldwide must confront both Islamofacists and secular progressives, the last thing it needs is bashing of certain branches of the Christian family tree branches by other branch members or churches.

"...NO Christian will claim to be Catholic...."

Wrong. As a convert, I can tell you that my studies make your claim an outright lie. The Universal Church (Catholic = Universal) founded and led by Jesus Christ with the Apostolic Succession is the One True Church.

I prefer mackeral snapper myself....although in my case it would be herring snapper, or schnapps snapper since we pickle them...

The first thing a Catholic learns when he opens his Bible is that the books it contains were judged to be the authentic Word of God by the Catholic Church.

The canon of the Bible was determined by the Catholic Church.
