ROMAN CATHOLICISM: A DIFFERENT GOSPEL

ROMAN CATHOLICISM: A DIFFERENT GOSPEL

In their lust for unity the Emergent Church and post-evangelical “Protestants” are right now embracing the Roman Catholic Church as another Christian denomination. But the issue is simple: If, as taught the Church of Rome, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without “the new birth in baptism” then we are now in hopeless contradiction with the Gospel contained in Holy Scripture.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8)

Speaking The Truth In Love

Let me make this as clear as I possibly can for the Roman Catholics who may read this work in Christ from Apprising Ministries. I personally am former member of the Church of Rome and care very deeply about those, such as the majority of my own family line, who are trapped in this apostate man-made system of religion known as Roman Catholicism. I also fully realize that what I say may sound “unloving” and possibly even “harsh.” However, there is just nothing that I can do about that. By not telling the Truth we aren’t doing anyone a service.

He actually thinks we worship Mary!

Of course he or ANYONE else can prove that through the Catechism, or any other 2000-year old documents. I’ve yet see see any proof.

Same old accusations through the years.

On Planet Quix, the All Knowing is certain we do. The advantage to living in your own world is that facts mean nothing. Fantasy is everything.

For some of us . . .

fantasies

are not only unimportant . . . a lesser distraction from the excitement of real life.

Real life is a hoot.

Perhaps letting go of fantasies about bogus Mary dogmas would allow more exciting real life to be experienced.

[ So, to make your argument, you need to provide substantiation. Otherwise, your might as well hold your breath until people agree with you. ]

You're wrong Boats... for every participant in a thread there may be 10 lurkers.. lurking.. They can provide vindication for themselves.. unless they are lazy.. You know the way most of those in the Sheep pen(John ch 10) are.. Theres no excuse for not knowing both sides of any issue on the internet(Google). Unless they are happy being TOLD what they want to hear..

Not all orthodox (RCC and EO) worship Mary.. but some do..
As some Protestants worship the Bible..

And sometimes the Bible worshipers and the Mary worshipers argue dogma.. While each of them swear they are not idolaters.. Its like the two stooges.. with eye pokes and everything..

No Roman Catholic or E. Orthodox worships Mary. We honor her because she is the mother of our Savior. But she is not a deity. We worship God alone. Unless of course you can provide me with documentation to assertions?

Anyone who worships anything other than God is misguided. This includes Protestants that worship money, power, TV or what have-you. The Magisterial teaching of the Catholic Church tells us we are to worship God alone.

What a fantasy. I suppose you've interviewed every RC individual and every EO individual to determine such a thing???

I've personally seen folks prostrating themselves before RC idols in the Vatican. Thankfully, not all the pilgrims did.

I was listening to a beautiful Christian song this afternoon while working on my new trackball cart.

Part of the words went . . . "HE ALONE IS WORTHY ALL OUR PRAISE . . . "

And it struck me quite startlingly forcefully, out of the blue: . . . RC folks don't believe that. RC folks can't authentically sing that.

And it struck me with a thud at a deeper level . . . how serious the blasphemous idolatry is.

WHOOOOOP T DO!

The magicsterical itself has been rife for centuries with 1,001 encouragements to even WORSHIP THE MAGICSTERICAL!

They have certainly done a miserable job of policing the ‘non-worship’ clause . . . evidently because there’s more money and control in the 1,000’s of other documents and poems and songs encouraging folks to do just that—blasphemously worship Mary.

Baptism has always been taught as a precondition for salvation.

Than your church does teach a different Gospel than the Baptists or Presbyterians. The title could have mentioned the Lutherans and Roman Catholics together, since as I understand it both believe you must be baptized. IIRC that baptism must also only be performed by a member of that church.

As a Baptist we believe you must believe The Gospel in order to be saved, and no works are attached. We believe there are only two ordinances Baptism and the Lord's Supper neither of which imparts saving Grace.

I posed this article not knowing of you or your faith. The article attacks not faith but doctrine. You may choose to put faith in false doctrine - it’s not your faith at issue; it’s false doctrine. You assumed the offense, enjoy it.

Did you read the email I wrote to the guy and posted here?

Baptism is NOT absolutely required for salvation and it does not have to be performed by a member of the Church.

The premise of the article is not true and the guy who wrote it, having been apprised of that fact with references to the Catechism and to conciliar documents, has not answered my email, even to disagree with it.

You guys are being played for suckers. He's playing on your fears and ignorance of what we in fact teach.

As I said to him, all I had to do was look up "Baptism" in the index of the Catechism and then "necessity", and there it was. He's wrong. And now he knows or should know he's wrong.

So what shall we conclude from his failure to retract the charge? That truth doesn't matter. And, 'Blessed Assurance' aside, can a fellow who doesn't care about the truth be said to have taken the Truth for his personal Lord and Savior?

You must live in that same special little world Quix does. The one where something is true because you say so.

NO Catholic worships ANYONE except the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The very act of Idolatry renders anyone who fails to believe ALL of the Truth heretical or apostate and therefore (like our seperated brethern in the thousands of disagreeing protestant confessions) are not Catholic.

See 597. The article is a “Jack Chick” style polemic attacking, with falsehood and vitriol, the Roman Catholic Church and all of us who believe it. The absolute lies spill out all over from the author in this piece and many others he has written. He claims to have been raqised Catholic and yet he lies about what the Church teaches. Posting lies from know liars sort of brands you Manfred, dontcha think?
