For where two or three have gathered together in My name Matt 18:20 9/14/08

Non-Denominational Devotional/Prayer
For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises. Now that the Non-denominational category has been established at Freerepublic, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome. Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here. The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern."

He has promised to be in our midst tonight as we gather wherever we may be, as a voice in one accord, to praise Him and ask on behalf of others for His Grace to be granted to them.

First, a wonderful bit of news:
I want [to] send a personal thank you out to the Freeper Nation [for keeping Kevin in our thoughts and prayers] during my month in the hospital.
Thank you for the visits by each member of the DC Chapter that visited me and for the prayer thread here.
Well Freepers, I have to be on dialysis for the foreseeable future because my blood pressure ran out of control and the last group of drugs were not effective in controlling it which lead to my Kidneys being damaged.
So we now have the bp under control and the kidneys are starting to work yet again, so Trueblackman will be out there again yet again with the Freeper Nation.

Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord!

From last Sunday’s thread we have the following requests:

I just found out a few minutes ago that my niece’s son was found dead. Apparently an ATV rolled over him and broke his neck. Please pray for Nancy. She just lost her husband very suddenly two years ago. He died of a heart attack (in his 40’s) and she found him in the yard. Now her son has died. I don’t know if she really knows the Lord or not.

Please continue to pray for my kidney infection. I finished up the antibiotics on Friday and last night (Saturday) the pain began to return.

I’ve been having trouble with Carpal-Tunnel in my hands making it very difficult to use them; they go numb and tingle and hurt when I try to do even things like cutting up food or sewing, or sometimes typing.
Sometimes I sleep on them wrong and the pain wakes me up.
My cholesterol is pretty high and the doctor is going to want to put me on statins which I don’t want. I’m going to try more exercise and diet (as much as I can) first.
Please pray for all this.

Please add the mother of WhyisaTexasgirlinPA to the list.
She is improving but prayers are requested for her continued gaining of strength through rehab.

May I ask prayer for my son Matthew? He has been out of work for the last year and may have a job tonight. He is a wonderful Christian young man. Thank you! May the Lord bless and keep you.>br> posted by tajgirvan

In July 2006 I fell at work and blew my knee out and broke my ankle with a massive sprain. The doctors tried the first year just casting, booting and crutches - didn’t make an improvement. dang! Anyway, I have some nerve damage that they are going to try and repair.
My request is that I be lifted up for a speedy and total recovery. I have been told that this particular surgery can take up to a year to know if it was successful - eeegads!
Thanks a bunch.

Not sure if this thread will be successful this evening, given the problems FR is having with responding, but the prayer thread is now opened.

A few freepers have begun to stop wherever and pray that the Lord will confound the enemy ... in reference to the liberalism sweeping the democrat party along in the current political season, as they lie and deceive the voters, the American people regarding Governor Sarah Palin and Senator John McCain. If anyone doubts there is a campaign to lie and destroy the image of these two Republicans, try googling wrodpress.com, and read the vile essay from Ed Schultz. I'm joinign to pray every evening at 9PM,a sking the Lord to confound and confuse 'the enemies' of this Republic.

Thanks for getting this done. I noticed that last Sunday FR was having a lot of problems as well. We ought to pray that they would be fixed and not interfere with this prayer time.

At wordpress.com you will find the following, with a link to Ed Schultz's essay. The deceit is immediately obvious for the title is contradictory to the script below, and when you click on the 'mudflats' link the Ed Schultz lie is revealed. Democrats are liars. Pray that the Lord will confound them in their efforts to lie and deceive and confuse them in their attacks.

"‘Alaska Women Reject Palin’ Rally is HUGE! I attended the Welcome Home rally for Sarah Palin this morning. Hooo. It was an experience. About a thousand (maybe) hard-core Palin supporters showed up to hear her speak at the new Dena’ina Convention Center in downtown [...]"

When I was putting this thread together this evening, I tried for more than an hour to get through to post it and only broke in just before eleven! I have a feeling the democrat goon squad may be trying to hamper the truth flow at FreeRepublic.com.

Today's sermon was about diversity. Not the quota type, but rather the global diversity of believers within the Christian faith. Some 2 billion in all.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

"Whosoever" is a powerful word in this context, meaning literally every single person capable of believing.

I then noted a younger parishiner with two loopy pirate earings, elvis sideburns, a cane and a limp.

It occured to me. We are strong, and my job is to embrace every Christian from every walk of life.

This is the power of the Lord and the sharp edge of the knife enemies of freedom and liberty believe is dull.

Nothing is lost, quite the opposite.

In Christ,
Eddie01

My prayers were offered up for these in need, even though FR was having major conniption fits last night. I was thinking and praying for all.

Thanks MHG, for the ping.

I'm joining to pray every evening at 9PM,a sking the Lord to confound and confuse 'the enemies' of this Republic.

Satan is the god of lies and deceit, of chaos and anarchy. It's easy to tell where they're coming from and where they're headed.

A little coordinated prayer supporting the collapse of the McCain/Palin attack machine? Prayer alarm set for 9 pm.

I have been doing the 9:00PM praying for America’s elections for about two months now, since receiving a e-mail from a friend. (Just got back to FR tonight, power in Central Ohio has been out since Sunday evening—ugh!)

Praying as always for Confusion of the enemy!

“Hasten, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord. Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul; let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.” Psalm 70:1-2

Can we not also pray that for our beloved country?

This is how it began. There is no formal thread daily, just the will to bow our heads at the same time and seek His power and Grace.

This thread on which is this post comes up every Sunday Evening, to gather in His name to seek His Grace for others in need. On MOndays, another thread for non-Denominational devotional is posted by Greyfoxx39.

MHG, I haven't been posting the Monday thread for the last couple of weeks. FR has been so chancy, especially on Sunday night, that I thought I'd wait a while before trying to start the Monday devotional thread back up again.

Use your judgement on whether to try and do the communal prayer on Sunday night at the same time this weekend.

My husband is at the hospital with a dear friend who is having emergency surgery for a condition which is life threatening. He has been bleeding heavily and nobody can figure out why. His name is Ernie and he’s a very good friend. Please pray for him. It’s very serious.
