CHICAGO — Chicago police reported 37 teens were charged after a reckless gathering ensued in the city’s South Loop Sunday night. Police reported 30 teens between the ages of 12 to 17 were charged with a misdemeanor of reckless conduct. Officers responded to a large gathering near the 100 block of West Roosevelt Road around 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.

President Joe Biden has defended an upcoming meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) after coming under attack by the left for not sticking to his campaign promise to turn Riyadh into a “pariah” state, saying he would only be seeing MBS during a broader “international meeting.” As part of his campaign, Biden promised to make “human rights the center of U.S. foreign policy” and as part of that, Saudi Arabia was condemned as a “pariah” for its role in the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.

Eighteen members of the same family have been infected with COVID-19 after they gathered in Pennsylvania to celebrate the holidays. Darlene Reynolds, of Milmont Park, said the virus swept through her family after she had relatives from as far as Canada come over on Dec. 27 despite feeling under the weather, news station WPVI reported.

New Jersey Gov. US space agency Nasa has funded a study of "tractor beams" to gather samples for analysis in future missions. The $100,000 (£63,000) award will be used to examine three laser-based approaches to do what has until now been the stuff of science fiction. Has anyone here had dealings with the "Rainbow gathering" events? I have over 2000 Rainbow people of the Light participants so far coming through my community panhandling and trying to barter with beads and crystals. They are expecting up to 30,000 for their gathering July 1-7, but some are staying as late as Labor day. Does anyone have any statistics such as crime, pollution, or experiences with this group?
