I don’t know how Topcat even begins to interpet scripture?

Without the intoxication of futurist kool aid.

Oh..., and just “breathe” the word “dispenationalism” and see if Topcat starts “foaming at the mouth”... :-)

I have never foamed at the mouth. I prefer to say “Well, there you go again” with my best Ronald Reagan imitation. It’s my lot in life to point out that the futurist emperor is not wearing any clothes.

So when is Jesus coming back? or did he already come here (first and last)he tells the Jews to preach the gospel to the world and that’s it.

We are destined to live in a Fallen Crumbling World where people are doing there best to get rid of christianity.

You said — “Mid-Tribber my friend...”

Okay, you’ve got two — 1,260 days — given for this time period. One is running up to the midpoint and the other is on the back side of it. The Abomination of desolation is the midpoint.

Now, the first 1,260 days has the two witnesses whom are slain at the end of that time period and lay in the streets for three days and then are taken up, alive again, into heaven in the sight of the whole world. (in Revelation 11)

Then you have the next 1,260 days in which the woman, Israel, is protected in the wilderness for that 1,260 days, from the serpent or dragon or Antichrist. (in Revelation 12)

So, I would say that if we’re currently in that first part right now — then where are those two witnesses (of whom, later on, their dead bodies will be raised alive, again and taken up for the whole world to see)? We should be seeing them — right now —

It says...

Revelation 11:5-8

5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner.

6 These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.

8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Since I don’t see those two witnesses, I would say we’re not in this first part, currently...

I hope you see what I mean here...

:-)

Now..., when was the book of Revelation written?

And when does Jesus come again, according to what he told the disciples?

I will say that there are a very few times I wish I believed position #5 (Partial Rapture), because then I could have the enjoyment of watching the preterists being left behind when I’m going... LOL...

Since there is no “rapture” apart from the Second Coming that is not something you need to worry about.

Watching the rapturists debate their position is like watching 5 men debate the type of cheese the moon is made out of.

Now..., when was the book of Revelation written?

It says it right on the first page. Oh, I forgot, the futurist date is the one set by the magisterium of the church.

“That I can tell you in one word: tradition!” (Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof)

Repeat after me … Tradition, tradition! Tradition! Tradition, tradition! Tradition!

And when does Jesus come again, according to what he told the disciples?

Sometime in the future, we know not when. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only."

Since you don't know who they are, how would you know whether or not they are here?

So when is Jesus coming back?

As we've told you before, in his own good time.

As Christ would have us to be certainly persuaded that there shall be a day of judgment, both to deter all men from sin, and for the greater consolation of the godly in their adversity: so will he have that day unknown to men, that they may shake off all carnal security, and be always watchful, because they know not at what hour the Lord will come; and may be ever prepared to say, Come, Lord Jesus, come quickly. Amen.

Yes in when he was returning to earth.
But he also said he would come like a *Thief in the Night*

Since we have a world where the majority does not believe that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the World and the *Only WAY* by what you say..Many are just going to perish while a few elect will survive.

Well Topcat according to you..GOD left us with a Big Question mark when he would return.

That’s what He told us. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." Seems pretty straight forward. What secret gnosis can you apply to the question?

The delusion that GOD pours out on the world is *NOT* his church...

I can’t parse that sentence.

Yes in when he was returning to earth. But he also said he would come like a *Thief in the Night*

And when would that be exactly?

Since we have a world where the majority does not believe that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the World and the *Only WAY* by what you say..Many are just going to perish while a few elect will survive.

I’m not following you.

BTW, are you still looking for those quotes from Luke and Mark over here?

1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 (NIV) for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.

The Scripture does not state in 1 Thessalonians 5:2 referenced above that Jesus will return in the night, anymore than it states in 1 Thessalonians 5:4 referenced above that Jesus will return in the day. There is concurrently daytime and nighttime somewhere on the earth. The Scripture states that Jesus’ Second Coming will be an unexpected and sudden “surprise,” “like a thief” is a surprise.

Isaiah 29:5-6 (NIV) But your many enemies will become like fine dust, the ruthless hordes like blown chaff. Suddenly, in an instant, 6 the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.

Malachi 3:1 (NIV) “See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the LORD Almighty.

Matthew 24:43-44 (NIV) But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Luke 12:39-40 (NIV) But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

SINCE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE DO NOT BELIEVE IN CHRIST AND THE JEWS DO NOT AS WELL..
How would any of this make sense to them? Coming like a Thief in the Night...That is for the Believer.

The rapture is described primarily in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 describes the rapture as God resurrecting all believers who have died, giving them glorified bodies, and then departing the earth with those believers who were still alive, who have also been given glorified bodies. “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
