We thank You also this day for establishing the United States of America on Biblical principles. We have a rich heritage of faith, truth and submission to You and Your ways of doing and being right and for this we give You thanks. We are blessed to be Americans. We are blessed to be able to pray openly.
We pray for every member of our military and their sacrificing families—true heroes. They have given up their lives and personal plans in order to keep us safe and we are so indebted to them. We count each one as a precious gift from You. Protect them as they protect us. Defend them as they defend us. Encourage and strengthen their spirit, soul and body in the execution of their duties and responsibilities. Undergird them with Your spirit and might when they are called upon to endure the hardships of battle. We ask You, Sir, to provide them with the best equipment and leaders and sufficient funds to keep them pre-eminent in the world. We are believing You for complete victory against the evil they are fighting.

Daily we pray for those people who are working to protect the system of Government You established for us. Today I pray for Eric Cantor and ask You to give him the Spirit of Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Please send all the truth and information that he needs in order to make wise decisions and then give him favor with man in those decisions. As he chooses the right way, we pray that You would give him a mouth and utterance that even his enemies would be unable to refute. Give him the courage to stand against voices that would encourage him to vote against wisdom. Protect him and his family from physical and spiritual harm and give Your angels charge concerning him. As a son of Abraham, we know that he is set apart by You. We want him to acknowledge Jesus as the true Messiah and ask You to send laborers into that harvest. Convict him, Holy Spirit, and open the eyes of his heart to receive that truth.
Thank You, Father, for the remnant You always leave. Cause them to rise to the top as You bless and care for Your people in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Amen to your powerful prayer, Hiskid. Lord we pray for our military men and women to be drawn close to You as they serve this nation’s people. We pray that You would send ministers of Your Holy Spirit to assist their families who wait for their return. Grant each of these servants the opportunity to know You better and to become more like the greatest servant of all, Jesus Christ. May Your Name be glorified in their lives. In the Name of our Savior, Amen.
