Many may remember that my son's daughter and only child at that time -- was a victim of Acute Myleogenous Leukemia (adult form), diagnosed when she was nine years old.
I have been a strong proponent of bone marrow transplants, because Jennifer is living proof of the success of that procedure.
This started just over 11 years ago and the transplant did not take place for about three years -- Jennifer had about a 50/50 chance of survival -- which rose and fell over that time.
Jennifer is now engaged, an incredibly beautiful young lady and she is pregnant.
This has been confirmed by doctors and was something that the doctors told her would be impossible.
Please pray that Jennifer is able to remain pregnant and have her baby who, at five weeks, she already loves with all of her heart.
Except to thank you all in advance, I will not answer unless some health professional has some input, as the progress is just going to be what it will be. If the worst would happen I will recover this thread and give an update, just as I will when this first great-granchild is born.

Heavenly Father, though we pray here once and then turn back to the cares of our own lives, we thank You that each word uttered before the Throne of Grace for Jennifer and her baby, will stand for all eternity. Thank You that You gave newness of life to Jennifer in years past ... now she has newness of life within her body. Prosper her in the days and weeks ahead, that at the appointed time, her beautiful baby will be born ... as perfect as the Love of the Creator, Himself. Knit this family under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, that they might stand as a Light against the darkness of a fallen world. Grant vibrant health to Mom and Dad and Baby, that Praise to You, O God, might ever be in their hearts and on their lips.

Ah Lord God! A baby! A precious wee one is being formed in the womb by Your very hands! How we love this child already and want Your very best for this family. By Your grace, we pray that You would sustain Jennifer and this baby, giving them strength to endure the nine months together before they meet face to face, and then the abiding love to last a lifetime.
