What does this mean?
The Sanhedrin was the Supreme Court for the Land of Israel the highest Jewish judicial tribunal. Today, its counterpart in formation, met in the Old City of Jerusalem. They planned their future basing all matters on the Torah. Themes explored by the Sanhedrin will be the lost Jewish tribes from other parts of the world, restoring the Davidic monarchy, and (starting) the long road towards its chief goal of restoring the crown of Torah to its former glory.IOW, they are making preparations for Christ's return. In addition to the establishment of the Sanhedrin, according to New Testament End Time prophecies, there will be a temple constructed in Jerusalem.
They have to believe in the Christ for His return don’t they?
Uh, no....they are getting things together for the coming of the Jewish messiah..he has yet to make an appearance...magritte
Hope thy hold a “We’re sorry” party for having the Romans crucify him to begin with.
What does it mean?
Jesus is COMING AGAIN!
And Sooner than a lot of folks dare imagine.
Just another puzzle piece put in place toward further END TIMES events, bench marks.
Zechariah 12:10
“I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED; and they will MORN for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.”
Actually, this so far unsuccessful attempt at re-establishing a Sanhedrin has been going on since at least 2004 and has been discussed a number of times on FR.

He HAS made His appearance, but was not recognized. He WILL return to Rapture His children and allow the 7 year Tribulation to occur, then return again to reign.
and so the discussion continues. . .and will continue. . .
thanks for your note.
It means that some prefer to nihilistically obsess over “end times” instead of focusing all their energies on making the world that we have here and now a more Christian place.
for knowledgeable and conscientious believers it is not either / or but both / and. . .
We’ll agree to disagree on that one.
The Jewish Messiah has come and he is coming again to finally rid the world of evil and bring Peace..the Jewish (All) People will recognize JESUS CHRIST as there Messiah this time..GOD will save the Jewish Nation.....
I’ve been hearing this same story for 20 years.

Conclusion
Although the new Sanhedrin claims that it is in touch and even coordinating with some Haredi leaders, no basis to support these claims can be found.
The overriding response to the new Sanhedrin by the Haredi community has been driven by the fact that leadership of the new Sanhedrin is unknown or controversial, and the decisions of the new Sanhedrin are perceived as identifying with the extreme wings of the National Religious community.
The Haredi community tends to simply ignore the new Sanhedrin or ridicule it.
Hey TaraP...the Jewish Messiah, as foretold, is not a god, but a regular flesh-and-blood man that reunites Israel, brings peace to the world, and brings universal acceptance of the Torah (among a few other things)...that’s old school Judaism (prophecies before Jesus)...I appreciate your enthusiasm and hope that your beliefs will lead you back...magritte
Well thanks for your reply but IMO it is going to take an act of Divine Intervention to solve the problems of this world.. For me that is Jesus Christ and for you someone else. But if you know someone else is coming who you think is the Promised Messiah please let me know...:)
Peace.
