These things are the direct result of the fall of man. When sin entered the world we got death, diseases, etc...etc.. God did not do all these things to us. Sin is the reason.

But Jesus Christ is our way to eternal life, Just pray to Jesus admit that you are a sinner ask him into you heart that you know he is the son of God, that he was born of a virgin and shed his blood on the cross, died for our sin and was buried and was resurrected 3 days later. Ask forgiveness and repent of your sins.

And he ascended into heaven and now sits on the right hand of the father in heaven.
He will return one day to set up his kingdom on earth.

Apparently you know but you won’t tell us without a word from your sponsors.

>>Wonder how that happened ;-)<<

It is a VERY beautiful tapestry.

In the bye and bye I hope to see it. But not too soon. I prefer to imagine it in the meantime.

:)

Of course, that was the point of my post.

Jesus was both Son of Man and Son of God. he took human flesh and experienced all our wants and sufferings from abandonment, betrayal, and fear to desertion, hunger, thirst, love, tears, fear, and feelings of hopelessness (being forsaken).

So if the Son of Man has experienced every imaginable pain and suffering, He understands that fallen man lives in a world of suffering and pain. He Himself experienced it.

Worldly suffering is not a basis to ask “How Can A Good God” allow for tsunamis and earthquakes or allow for the Nazi Holocaust. Christ came to redeem mankind and allow us to share of his eternal kingdom if we so choose.

The headline of this thread is simply an attention grabber and nothing more.

Dude, calm down. When tragedies happen, it is not unusual for faith to be shaken.

After 9/11 I basically gave up on God and concluded any world with the God of Love in my heart would never allow such a thing. I have a massive fear of heights and seeing the videos and pictures of people falling from the WTC literally made me nearly faint.

Fortunately, God tapped my shoulder after a day or so, showed me that many are alive and then had my angel whisper (I really believe this) that God took those falling long before they hit the ground.

Everyone must arrive at his/her “shoulder tap” moment on his/her own timeline, based on how God wishes it. There is wisdom to be derived from the rigorous pursuit of faith.

As several of us have pointed out, Job was not just a story in the Bible — he was a very real man whose faith was so’erly tested.

Be kind and patient. That is God’s way.

Where is God?

Last I heard he is honoring your Separation of Church and State cries.

Since the Bible links Armageddon with “the end of the world,” would you not agree that it is vital to have a clear understanding of what the word really signifies?

Matthew 24:3,7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

Discuss

A better question might be: “How can a good God not just kill us all?”

Do pursue.

And may God have His angels tap on your shoulder soon.

After some rest and time, things may make more theological sense.
