Jack's bride Vi sent this prayer request in the E-mail today:
"Hello all: Finally Jack's urine sample passed the scruntiny of those who make the decision to proceed or not with surgery. Jack is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning at 0730 at Upstate. I will keep you posted. This is my first attempt at a multiple e-mail. Hope it works. Vi"
Please hold our dear brother up in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ. May He guide the care givers hands and heal his body.

“Dear family and friends,
Called the hospital this morning to find out that Jack had been taken off the ventilator and that he was breathing on his own...we are blessed.
We didn’t get in to see Jack until about noon but when we arrived he was sitting up, drinking and eating Jello. For this type of surgery we are truly thankful to see how he has progressed.
Jack was disappointed that he had such a hard time moving but when I explained that he had been given drugs to paralyze his muscles he felt much better about his accomplishments.
Thank you all for your e-mails, notes, love and prayers.
