Why is the forum for non-christian religions spammed with Christian ZOT?

Posted on 04/23/2010 4:51:25 AM PDT by Jormungandr

I see the whole non-christian forum act as an off-topic for denunciations Christian sects make on others, and news of general interest... For Christians.

There is a significant Heathen Libertarian and Conservative community. We're being spammed out!

Well, before I’m zotted...

...to which "tribe" do you belong and who are your "gods"? Do any of these ancient texts have names?

I'm late to the party Jormungandr has already been zotted, but for what it's worth here's some info from one of his earlier posts:

I grew up in a Catholic family. I converted to Asatrú at age 14. Told my parents at age 16.

Yeah, they were pissed. They eventually let me be: I was not converting back, and forcing me to go through the motions without actually believing would be pointless in both our faiths.

If you Google (or Bing, if you prefer) Asatrú, you'll find that it's a weird concoction of Norse mythology and Germanic/Druidic paganism, with a dash of racial identity beliefs (think Aryanism). Think of it as "Germanic Hinduism" and you'll get the right idea. The Norse self-identification makes post #22 and post #56 all the more hilarious!

What is Asatrú? at The Heathen Kinship of Houston Area Asatrúar
Germanic Neopaganism, at Wikipedia

Hijacked!?!

Punch line from my favorite preacher joke: “When I got to the one about thou shalt not commit adultery I remembered where I left my bicycle.”
I miss Louis Grizzard, who IIRC was a Methodist.

A Viking Hijack!

A famous Viking explorer returned home from a voyage and found his name missing from the town register.

His wife insisted on complaining to the local civic official who apologized profusely saying, "I must have taken Leif off my census."

That wasn't meant to be funny, I was genuinely curious about where "Heathen Libertarians" typically live.
