Things Mormon women can do to reduce stress
Mormon Times ^ | May 5, 2010 | Sharon Haddock

PROVO, Utah -- The over-scheduled, over-involved and over-whelmed Mormon woman needs to do two things to de-stress, said two speakers at the recent Women's Conference at BYU: simply life and ask for God's help. "God placed us here to succeed," Sarah Westerberg said. "But mortality will cause stress. It's a natural byproduct."

SNIP

Her advice included...letting go of what cannot be controlled and ridding life of perfectionism.

She suggested adding two words to a working vocabulary: "Who cares?"

you wrote “Yes, you implied it in post #27...but then you came right back around and implied he was a polygamist to Elsie in #132...I think posters can read 132 as it stands, right?”

So in otherwords, your saying that by me acknowledging a fact and latter ommitting in for brevity is proper justification for a full scale prejudice inflamed rant on all Mormons since the beginning of the Church?

....I would call that a tad over the top ....with a hint of intellectual dishonesty. Do you exhibit this particular trait often?

As I explained earlier, polygamy was neither condoned or prohibited in the early days and was not considered adultery...
_______________________________________

and as I have explained Joey Smith was not living in the time of the early days of Judaism or the Torah...

The pedophile didnt think he should obey the Chrsitian bible on adultery...

ya really think he was concerned what the Jewish Torah had to say on the subject ???

Joey Smith rewrote the Bible and added to it to make his own Joseph Smith version...

and he wrote his own book of mormon for his new mormon religion...

Joey Smith was never guided by the Torah or the Chrsitian Bible...

Joey Smith hated chrsitianity...

and anything or any law that got in his way of having a Hedonistic life...

If you are going to quote scripture you should have a historical concept before doing so.

the 613 Commandments is one of the greatest religious writings of all-time and I thought it would be interesting to you...
________________________________________

I have my own copies of those 6713 laws...

They are within the books of Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy in the Old Testament of my several versions of the Christian Bible...

However only Ten of those laws are contained within the TEN commandments...

Kinda like the Bill of Rights in the Constitution of the United States..Just ten of them are contained within the Bill of rights...but all the rest as just as important..

Getting back to the TEN COMMANDMENTS, one of them CLEARLY tells us that we SHALL NOT commit adultery...

And WAY before the 7th of those TEN COMMANDMENTS (the one on adultery, plural marriage, polygamt) was given, God had already punished a man for just PLANNING and THINKING about committing adultery...

God was actually going to KILL a king for taking another mans wife as his own plural wife...

Abrahasm had to intercede with God and save the kings butt...

Oh Nana ???

WHO ???

Well Mag youre self appointed expert on Abraham for this thread...

You open a copy of the Chrsitian Bible and read it for your self...

Watch ya dont get burnt...

Polygamny was the Lord’s law..

The Lord have done a lot of things we always don’t understand.

Oh, it just irritates me that people sometimes quote scripture using todays words and customs with out taking into consideration yesteryears words and customs. IE. kings, wives, and concubines would be just one example. That’s all, just talking to myself.

Mosaic law didn’t even criticize it

It goes back WAY earlier than that!

God only used ONE rib.

"It is not good for man to be alone. I will fix him with a BUNCH of folks with Honey-do lists!"

mayber the mormon lord’s...

and definitely Joey Smith’s law

and Briggy Young’s law...

But the foul evil sin of polygamy/plural wives//bigamy/adultery/one night stands/booty calls/steppin out/runnin around was NEVER the law of the LORD God of the Judeo-Christian Bible...

Leviticus 20:11 "If a man commits adultery with a married woman, committing adultery with an other man's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death."

I guess Joseph Smith got lucky in more ways than one!

This edict substantially prohibited plural marriage. One exception was allowed: A man could marry more than one wife if he obtained the special permission of 100 rabbis in 3 countries.

Things are are MUCH easier today!

The Living Prophet® only has to get clarification from 12 guys in one state!

Its on my my phone but I can get it there.

Well; from there you can get it on a photosharing site. That's what we have to do if we want pictures to show up on these threads. E-MAIL photos don't cut it since the messages are not stored permanently on the Web.

It seems from reading a few of these threads he took a limited understanding of Scripture (especially your "Old Testament"), mixed in a bit of harem life, and topped it off with some interesting geography (Garden of Eden in Missouri? I live in MO, and this ain't no Paradise!).

Heck, everyone knows Texas is God's country! ... magritte
