Prayers for my dog, PLEASE!
He ~may~ have swallowed an earpiece from a pair of reading glasses that he chewed up Friday morning.
He's been throwing up immediately [although sporadically] after he eats which is symptom of a stomach blockage.
I am terrified that I will lose him.
He's only a baby.
Please, although he's "just a dog", please pray that the x-rays show nothing in him, if not for his sake, for mine.
If there *is* something, let it be able to be removed endoscopically without surgery.
I can't express how much he means to me.
I've waited 25 years to find a dog like my beloved One of my youth and this dog is my new "One".
I have no shame where his life is concerned and am begging, please.

This is all we have here and I was lucky that somebody answered the phone at 2am to tell me they’d be open tomorrow.
He’s running, chewing his squeaky toys and antlers, playing and aggravating the other dogs to madness so whatever’s in there hasn’t affected him overall, yet.
I’m *hoping* he just has a virus or stomach irritation.
With the storms coming and going, they’ve *all* been chomping grass like starved cows and he’s not a grass eater.
[the grass *did* come out the other end so I know his intestines are still functional]
I’m so scared I don’t know what to do but just sit here and watch over him until 7am.

I had a dog die from a bowel obstruction. It’s not pleasant at all!

I’m so sorry, Salamander. I hope he is better very soon.
I’d be there now if there was a “there” to go to.
I have to wait until 7am.
Just 2 more hours and he’s not at all “down” yet.
Very lively and spunky but the barfing is *not* normal.
Ate fine Friday after the chewing incident.
Threw up Saturday am but then ate raw beef and was fine.
Threw up snacks Sat. night but kept his supper down.
Ate breakfast today, was fine.
Supper, upchucked on the floor.
It’s erratic.
All I can guess is that the ear piece may move around in such a way as to make him sick sometimes but not others.
Stuff’s coming out the other end just fine so his intestines are working.

My dog stopped eating but more important stopped drinking.
I thought the same thing - fever, something like that.
He was very lethargic.
Wasn’t till he went down I realized it was too late. He had, as far as I can tell, eaten one of those chewy thingies whole. Because I checked afterwards and there were no crumbs or pieces, and I remembered after I gave it to him, he came back in like 4 seconds and wanted another.

We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent IDs, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?

Are there dogs on other planets, or are we alone? I have been howling at the moon and stars for a long time, but all I ever hear back is the Dobie across the street.
