The above #15 and also #16 are terrible indictments of preterism and replacement theology. Carried to their logical conclusion they would lead to pogroms against Jews.

The only thing this proves is that folks can get rather creative in their denunciations, esp. when they have no hard facts on their side. Both the indictment and the supporting evidence are false.

QUIXICATED REPEAT OF POST BEING PINGED TO:

INCREDIBLY OUTRAGEOUS UNBIBLICAL, UNHISTORICAL REPLACEMENTARIAN, PRETERIST, ET AL ASSERTIONS POST BEING PINGED TO:

http://theantisblog.com/2008/11/23/joel-mcdurmons-sleight-of-hand-trick/

[snip] Gary DeMar, the president of American Vision, believes

that the fullness of the Gentiles already came in 2,000 years ago... that Jesus Christ’s second advent occurred in A.D. 70...

he also believes that the “great harlot” of Revelation 17 is the nation of Israel
, which was divorced by God in A.D. 70.

Whereas the “wife” of Revelation 19 is the Gospel church, which became married to Christ as the direct result of His putting away of Israel...

Therefore, as Israel has been cast out by Jehovah, she may no longer look for any reconstitution of her national or religious privileges...

if that isn’t replacement theology,
I don’t know what is!

Perhaps Joel McDurmon can explain whether he feels the same way. Does he agree that Israel was divorced and the church married in A.D. 70?

If so, then he is a Replacement Theologian. There is no middle-ground on which he can stand. [unsnip]

The above #15 and also #16 are terrible indictments of preterism and replacement theology. Carried to their logical conclusion they would lead to pogroms against Jews.

Words almost fail me.

IF ANY "Christian" thinks God Almighty is on the side of such idiocies from hell, such a person is in for an extremely "rude awakening."

The EVERLASTING promises of GOD ALMIGHTY to the blood children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob--THAT GOD ALMIGHTY himself says will be IN FORCE as long as THE SUN, MOON AND STARS EXIST--are more reliable than that the sun will rise tomorrow.

That includes all the land God promised to Abraham . . . Jacob . . . that HE HAS YET TO DELIVER to the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The idea that GOD'S FULL SALVATION FOR ISRAEL has been canceled, trashed is blasphemy. How could God be depended on for any shred of Salvation for anyone IF His EVERLASTING PROMISES TO ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB were not reliable?

MAY ALL REPLACEMENTARIANS, et al confess, repent and forsake such ideologies from hell.

WHAT AN INDICTMENT
ON REPLACEMENTARIANISM, PRETERISM
AND THE MENTALITIES THAT GO WITH SUCH!

^ R.J. Rushdoony, The Institutes of Biblical Law, (Nutley, NJ: Craig Press, 1973), pp. 586, 588, citing Vicomte Leon de Poncins, Judaism and the Vatican (London: Britons Publishing Company, 1967), p. 178. "The false witness born during World War II with respect to Germany is especially notable and revealing. The charge is repeatedly made that six million innocent Jews were slain by the Nazis, and the figure—and even larger figures—is now entrenched in the history books. Poncins, in summarizing the studies of the French Socialist, Paul Rassinier, himself a prisoner in Buchenwald, states:

Rassinier reached the conclusion that the number of Jews who died after deportation is approximately 1,200,000 and this figure, he tells us, has finally been accepted as valid by the Centre Mondial de Documentation Juive Contemporaine. Likewise he notes that Paul Hilberg, in his study of the same problem, reached a total of 896,292 victims. Very many of these people died of epidemics; many were executed..."

Regarding the holocaust, that is a direct source. He was apparently at least a holocaust revisionist, not a denier in the vein of Achemadinejad. But even those revisions are sinister in my opinion. Have I run to ground the rest of the citations? no, If I have time I will out of curiosity. Hey go for it yourself! The racism (and abortion views) seem to be valid, there is a lot of info out there.

Given that God has begun to severely discipline THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST FIRST, those CLAIMING to be "Christian" who believe such hidiocies from hell would do well to prepare for some very severe disciplines from God Almighty.

Anybody who hates Jews is NOT a Christian and is seriously an apostate.

I'm with you on the points you are both making. However, let me seek to clarify something. It seems some Dispensationalists don't think Christians should witness to Jews. Isn't this going to an extreme in the other direction?

Until Jesus Christ returns any Jew that dies without believing The Gospel will be condemned, so if we truly love the Jews isn't it our duty to preach The Gospel to them?

Of course it is our duty to preach The Gospel to them.

God says those WHO SEEK HIM SHALL find HIM.

I don’t believe He is limited in his capacity to insure that.

It would not rock my theology if God allowed Christ to present Himself at the point of death to ‘pickininnies’ in Africa or Observant Jews at their point of death. I wouldn’t make that a doctrine, just a statement of ONE way God could match the above Scripture with NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH CHRIST.

Certainly that’s NOT an option ANYONE SHOULD COUNT on.

ETERNITY IN THEIR HEARTS

as well as

SAMUEL MORRIS, THE MARCH OF FAITH

both describe plenty of examples of God reaching out and SAVING PEOPLE unconventionally.

It is not wise to pretend we can package God in tiny tidy little boxes.

Certainly Biblical Prophecy indicates that AS A NATION, Israel will not realize they bet on the wrong horse until the AntiChrist sets up his image in the rebuilt 3rd Temple in Jerusalem . . . to be worshiped as God.

THEN they begin to wake up as they are slaughtered by the thousands.

Certainly Scripture is clear that they WILL LOOK ON HIM WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED.

You know we both agree on this! :-)

I believe it was Origen who first theorized about this. It's one of those things we just don't know, but we do know God is just and merciful.

It is not wise to pretend we can package God in tiny tidy little boxes.

I agree.

I was only getting at the distinction between the pre-Trib and Trib periods. Often Dispensationalists are accused of believing there are different paths to salvation running concurrently.

Am I painting a picture here?

Like a Rembrandt !

It is interesting how the preterists
chose to rip the divorce out of it's context.

Mat 23:39 "For I say to you, from now on you will not
see Me until you say,
'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!'"

Psa 118:26 Blessed is the one who comes in the name
of the LORD;
We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.

If one were to apply the J R Church theory of 20th century year to Psalm number, it would suggest the year 2018
on Israel's 70th anniversary metaphorically.

TRUE.

I think Scripture is mostly imprecise on that issue.

We can pontificate quite logically until Jesus Comes—which looks to be not far off.

We know that all the Scriptures about Salvation are absolutely true.

We don’t know well and certainly not precisely how God will balance out HIS Scriptures on predestination and choice.

Thankfully, that’s HIS job.

Truly, God keeps every promise. Every. Single. One. He has not abandoned the seed of Abraham.

Thank you for sharing your insights, dear brother in Christ!

I think one of my points on such scores is

that . . . finite theologically arrogant humans tend to PRESUME

that their individual understandings of

PRECISELY HOW

God will work out His Scriptural truths on a variety of things

. . . . when throughout Scripture,

God persistently cut cattywumpus across all such sensibilities and STILL fulfilled HIS WORD to the letter.

God is NOT,
NEVER has been,
NEVER will be

limited by our finite understandings of even HIS WORD.

He certainly has plenty of surprises in store for satan in the END TIMES.

And, clearly for Israel and The Church, too.

Maybe MONDAY.

Susanna needs to order drilling of more New Mexico gas.

Texas Electric compressors are unreliable.

Romans 11:11-36

11So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. 12Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean!

13Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry 14in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them. 15For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? 16 If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.

25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written,

“The Deliverer will come from Zion,
he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”;
27”and this will be my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

28As regards the gospel, they are enemies of God for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, 31so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. 32For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.

33Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
34”For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?”
35”Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?”

36For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
