An employee with the New York Archdiocese warned of an “impending persecution” after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo called same-sex “marriage” opponents discriminatory and “anti-American” last week.

I'm a Protestant but I want to know when the Roman Catholic Church is going to excommunicate this jerk and send him to the Episcopagans where he belongs.

Uh, the Roman Catholic Church is the one that hired a bunch of gays as pastors in the 60's and on...

And since the Vatican has shown its communist agenda side, it will be unlikely to want to attack one of its political allies in the U.S.

I would very much like to know why the situation with the governor has been soft-pedaled. Mr. Cuomo is unrepentantly living in sin, and, in signing the same-sex union bill into, has flagrantly broken with Church teachings. Not being a canon lawyer, I don’t know for certain whether or not his actions gain a late sententiae excommunication or not. I do think that politicians who espouse Catholic beliefs and actively support abortion and/or same-sex unions should at the least get a serious visit from their bishops, not a smack on the hand. Insofar as abortion is concerned, latae sententiae excommunications are supposed to be automatic (Canon 1398). I’d still vastly prefer those sort of politicians repenting and changing their ways, though.

I received a harsher punishment in 2nd grade (ruler smacked across my knuckles) from Sister Mary Annunciata than Gov Koomoe will ever get from his bishop.

The Dems are going all out right now to advance the radical homosexual agenda. The political correctness brownshirts have pretty much shut down ANY public dissent. Too bad for them that even the thought of homosex triggers the gag reflex in the vast majority of people. Too bad (for them) as well that the Democrat homophiles are made blind to this fact because they believe the lies of their own mainstream media.
And they will remain blind until the people,in the privacy of the voting booth, safe from the prowling PC patrols, express in the most powerful way their gag reflex.

The Catholic Church is also the main Church that has not abandoned the sexual morality that was common to almost all churches one hundred years ago. It is the Episcopal Church that essentially wrecked the denomination by installing a bishop with live-in boyfriend; and the Lutherans and Presbyterians have told opponents of homosexuality they are bigots. The Methodist Church is still on the fence, but about to go over. Ironic you think the Church has gone Communist since it has been the major force behind anti-communism in the West.

“Catholic Church is the one that hired a bunch of gays as pastors in the 60’s ..”

It was AGAINST the Vatican’s wishes to allow homosexuals in the seminaries, but SOME seminaries didn’t listen.

Next time, please get your story straight.

Indeed. And I thought our side won the Cold War? The way things are going, Lenin and Stalin appear to have won. :(
