Baal, Jupiter, and other God(s) of Romney's LDS sect of Mormonism.

Posted on 10/29/2011 10:14:55 AM PDT by SENTINEL

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and RINO Presidential candidate Mitt Romney have brought the many aspects of the breakaway LDS sect of Mormonism into the media spotlight. Energetic accusations and counter accusations, denials, coverup and obfuscation rule the discussion, all he while the forest is missed for the trees.

I present here the most shocking evidence yet brought to bear against the christianity claims of mormons.

Mormons believe Baal and Jupiter helped create the universe.

A graven image of Baal at the Nauvoo Illinois LDS Temple.

This is a photo of the very Jupiter Talisman that Emma Smith, Joseph's widow, claimed was his most prized possession and was in his pocket the day he died.

Just a little "light reading" from the breakaway LDS sect's version of Mormonism's Book of Abraham proves that mormons, like buddists, hindus, ancient greeks, egyptians and other babylonian mystery religion offshoots believe in multiple gods.

Abraham Chapter 4:

1 And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth.

2 And the earth, after it was formed, was empty and desolate, because they had not formed anything but the earth; and darkness reigned upon the face of the deep, and the Spirit of the Gods was brooding upon the face of the waters.

3 And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light; and there was light.

4 And they (the Gods) comprehended the light, for it was bright; and they divided the light, or caused it to be divided, from the darkness.

5 And the Gods called the light Day, and the darkness they called Night. And it came to pass that from the evening until morning they called night; and from the morning until the evening they called day; and this was the first, or the beginning, of that which they called day and night.

6 And the Gods also said: Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and it shall divide the waters from the waters.

7 And the Gods ordered the expanse, so that it divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so, even as they ordered.

8 And the Gods called the expanse, Heaven. And it came to pass that it was from evening until morning that they called night; and it came to pass that it was from morning until evening that they called day; and this was the second atime that they called night and day.

9 And the Gods ordered, saying: Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto bone place, and let the earth come up dry; and it was so as they ordered;

10 And the Gods pronounced the dry land, Earth; and the gathering together of the waters, pronounced they, aGreat Waters; and the Gods saw that they were obeyed.

The bible warns not to receive another Jesus evern if an angel proclamis one. The LDS teach of another Jesus.

The Bible says that Jesus has always been God (John 1:1-14), and there is only one God in existence (Is. 44:6). However, the Mormon Church teaches that God the Father is a resurrected human man who is a married being who has "spirit children" in Heaven. Mormonism teaches that every human being born on this earth was first born in Heaven to God and one of his wives. Accordingly, Jesus was also born in the pre-existence to God the Father and one of his wives in heaven, just like all other human and demonic beings.

"Believe it or not, the Old Testament refers to ‘Gods’ as well. In Genesis, when God says, “Let US create man in our own image” the Hebrew word used for God is Elohim - a plural."

The plurality of Elohim is in reference to the God head of God the Father The Holy Spirit and Jesus. It is not in reference to multiple gods making mankind.

There is no religion in a forum that allows hatred for a particular religion to be spewed forth virtually every day of the week on these threads [flaglady, post #81]

I was speaking to the religious threads that slam a particular religion quite religiously. I never said FR is vile, ever [Flaglady again]

I think JR, and the rest of us as well, flaglady, can read plainly -- and know what a "forum" is in the context of FR postings. We don't need your "afterspin" to duck poster accountability.

Besides, to accuse religious posters of engaging in "spewing" and "hatred" is itself "spewing" and "slamming" and bashing.

I always "love" it when the supposedly "tolerant" "I'm too good for spewing and slamming and bashing" religious posters come online and refute themselves by engaging in spewing and slamming and bashing religious posters -- like you've just done.

If you preach tolerance, then you should be tolerating what we say. If you don't believe in being tolerant, then continue to bash away. You confuse us by preaching a certain standard -- and then showing by your words that you don't practice it.

We have religious convictions, too. Why aren't tolerant of what we say? Why are you intolerant/bigoted toward them? By your own standards, you should welcome what we say with open arms.

Or do you find that you draw the line somewhere -- just like we draw the line somewhere...and just like mainstream Mormons draw the line somewhere? Hmmm...

The Mormon "prophet" Hinckley -- went on the Larry King show in 1998 to claim: "Fundamentalist Mormons are not Mormons."

Tell us Flaglady...doesn't that "rile" you up? Wasn't Hinckley "guilty" of "spewing" and "slamming" "hatred" vs. fundamentalist Mormons by trying to wipe them off the face of the earth?

If you're so gung-ho "tolerant" for religious minorities, where are you in defending the fundy polygamists?

You & the rest of the mainstream Mormon allies always seem to be AWOL when it comes to defending the fundamentalist Mormons. Why? Therefore, since I don't see you rallying behind them, then I'm not sure how anybody could get riled up -- without also getting riled up @ Hinckley re: his statement, "Mormons are not Christians."

The LDS don't like fLDS being "lumped" in with them.
Likewise, Christians don't like Mormons counterfeiting themselves with a "Christian" identity.
We actually -- like the Jews -- eschew polytheism...which is embraced by Mormons.

We seek to establish clearer "boundaries" of what it means to be a Christian.

Elsewise, if polytheist Mormons are Christians, well, then, why not polytheist, polygamist fundamentalist Mormons as well? All of you who are "pro-Mormons"...are you consistent? Are you willing to call fundamentalist polygamist Mormons "Christian," too? If not, why not?

And why even stop there? Why don't we just run all religious bodies together & conclude a fundamentalist Mormon-is-a-Mormon-is-a-Christian-is-a-Jonestownite-is-a-Branch-Davidian-is-a-Heavens-Gate-ian-is-a-Urantia believer-is a Church Universal & Triumphant-is-a-Wicca-Witch-is-Voodoo practioner-is-a-New-Ager-is-a-whirling dervish-is-a-Hindu-is-a-Sikh-is-a-Muslim?!!

Y'all didn't realize that Muslims = "Christians" per Mormonism's PR campaign, now did ya?

Finally, it's so sad to see Mormon allies like you attack the uniqueness of Christianity -- trying to make distinctives so fuzzy.

Think, unlike too many, Muslims, ( yes, not ALL, of course!) who live in their violent, old brain, 'desert memory'; Mormon's learned to separate 'wheat from chafe' as is the Christian synthesis of the ' Old Testament; made 'New'; in many respects.

The violence in today's world does not harken back to a Mormon threat or that of the Church of LDS!

Look around the world and you must see that wherever, 'life and liberty' is threatened; it has Muslim jihadist name attached - or that of a Demrat /Marxist/Communist Leftie - or - just an Obama, Inc. label.

Christian/ Western/ Greek enlightenment; is our MO for our Western ' Civilization;, and Mormon's certainly share that heritage. (Whereas; those who are embedded with totalitarian-minded MO's; Marxist or Muslim; do not/can and never will not.)

(Have never feared a Mormon neighbor or seat-mate on a plane. Nor, for that matter; feared a Mormon, knocking on my door per their spiritual mission.

Have; OTOH; had frightening experiences with radical-minded ROP Reps. Not to mention, America's - and the world's - daily and collective, suffering per Islamic Jihad missions, that touch all areas of our planet.

Bottom line; and IMHO; we have enough real enemies in the world; without casting more, who do not deserve such ascription.

We do not have to fear a 'Mormon threat' in the civilized world; anymore than we fear a Baptist - or a Catholic - or those Jewish, for that matter; for their wanting to change our world by violence so as to usurp our rights to personal Liberty while being forced to adhere to a totalitarian mindset.

Think important to realize most critically, today; just WHO is the enemy of 'life, liberty...and our pursuit of happiness.

It is NOT the Mormons next door!

“and know what a “forum” is in the context of FR postings. We don’t need your “afterspin” to duck poster accountability”

“Here’s a thought: then stay out of the religion forum.”

This is the statement that I responded to that was made to me. What does it say? It says religion “forum”. Hence my reply using the word forum as in religion forum. Put your specs on.

“Mormons believe Baal and Jupiter helped create the universe.”

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints believe that Jesus Christ, the Great Jehovah of the Old Testament, is the Creator of the universe.

There are people other than Catholics that are biblically orthodox. That was hardly a catholic smear. Try a Christian one.

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part.

A nice Mormon lady tried to recruit me to the religion, and I was told I couldn’t drink coffee anymore, Coke, or a glass of beer or an occasional glass of wine.

I told her I would get back to her ..

Sorry those are deal breakers for me.

Where is the hatred Flaglady. You have yet to demonstrate it.

If the facts of your chosen religion are such an issue perhaps there is a reason.

Hum seems our retread friend here missed out on the “we don't question/attack those who left” arguments from a few weeks back Sentinel.

Not to speak for my good FRiend but I would guess the “principles” they could not live with may have been the “lying for the lord” or the supporting a “church” that maligns Christ or defending a “Book” that has been proven to be a fraud, not “scripture”. I am sure the list could go on...
