Our Loving Father,

'O Lord God! You have Made the Heavens and Earth by Your Great Power; Nothing is too Hard for You!' (Jer.32:17) What a Mighty and Wonderful Savior is ours! We, Your Grateful, Blood-Bought Flock, Sing Hosannas to Your Beautiful Name. 'Make a Joyful Symphony before the Lord, the King!' (Ps.98:6)

Your Majesty, we Intercede for our Awesome, Brave Troops. Through Every Moment of their Lives, May Jehovah Surround them with Grace. Beloved Father, Please Keep them Safe in the Palm of Your Hand. With the God of Israel on their Side, they Walk in Blessing and Might. For our Military Men and Women we Pray, 'He Orders His Angels to Protect you wherever you Go. They will Steady you with their Hands to Keep you from Stumbling Against the Rocks on the Trail. You can Safely Meet a Lion or Step on Poisonous Snakes, Yes, even Trample them Beneath your Feet!' (Ps.91:11-13) Faithful God, be Glorified in the Lives of our Mighty Troops!

Our Dearest Lord Jesus, we Lift Norma McCorvey Up to You. May this Good Woman be Sheltered in Your Daily Care. Many are her Enemies, Lord, but You are More Powerful than All. May her Ministry and Work for the Unborn, Father, be Blessed. May the Anointing and Power of Jehovah-Jesus Fill her Life. Thank You for Saving her and Making her One of Your Lambs. We Praise You, we Exalt You, we Magnify our God of Grace!

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise for our heroes in the American military who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Amen.

A Long And Winding Path
April 29, 2012

Sometimes the path of life seems impossibly steep and lengthy. I have no strength and no will for the journey. Then I remember God knew this path long before I was called to walk it. He has always known the difficulties I would experience, the pain that I could never explain to another. He knows and offers His presence.

Perhaps you’re overwhelmed with sadness today. It may be the weight of a difficult ministry; the worry of a hard marriage; the sorrow of a struggling child; the care of an aging parent; other troubles that come with life. “Surely,” you say, “God would not have me walk this way. There must be another, easier path for me to travel.”

But are any of us wise enough to know that some other way would make us into better and wiser children? No, our Father in heaven knows the best path, out of all possible paths, to bring us to completion (Ps. 142:3).

His ways are higher than our ways; His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isa. 55:9). We can humbly take the path He has marked out for us today, and do so in absolute trust in His infinite wisdom and love. He is wiser and more loving than we can ever know. He who sees has foreseen and will not lead us astray.

Be still and know that He is God
For pathways steep and rough;
Not what He brings, but what He is
Will always be enough. —Anon.

God will never lead you down a wrong path.
