Father, before Your Son was taken away for trial and crucifixion, He shared His heart for us in a deep intercessory prayer. He wants those You have given Him to be with Him where He is, and to see His glory, the glory You have given Him because You loved Him before the creation of the world. Lord God, Your Son came to make You known to us, Your children in this nation and He will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for Him may be in us and that Jesus Himself may be in us. No matter how we may encounter rejection in the world around us, we are welcomed to abide in the Creator of heaven and earth and the perfect Son of the Most High God.

Father, Your Word promises we can know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Our own problems and situations, and the problems and situations of all our American Heroes are not exempt from this list! As hard as it may be for us to comprehend, You can and will work these terrible challenges for good if we will co-operate with You and see ourselves as one called according to Your purpose. Thanks be to You, our God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ, desiring to spread everywhere through us the fragrance of the knowledge of Him! You only lead to victory, Christ Jesus. If we will keep following You, we'll get there. Amen
