Help all our American Heroes, and our Nation to trust in You at all times; help us, help Your children to pour out our hearts to You, God, for You are our refuge. O Lord, help us not be afraid to speak to You what's on our hearts. Your Word says You know our thoughts and our actions, and You know what we are going to say before a word forms on our tongues. You will never be offended when we pour out the earnest despair and bitterness that wells in our hearts. You desire for us to cry out in our agony, and You can take our feelings of anger, dismay, and confusion. In pouring our hearts out to You, we rid ourselves of soul-cancerous bitterness. We also make room for You to pour in Your healing.

Your ways are not our ways, Lord God. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are Your ways higher than ours. We may not always understand Your ways, Lord, but they are always prosperous. Your ways are always righteous. Your ways, O God, are holy. Your ways are loving and faithful. We have considered our ways, Lord, we choose Yours instead. Keep us from deceitful ways. Lord God, help us to walk in Your ways. Lord, if being obedient to You causes us to suffer, we know we should commit ourselves to our faithful Creator and continue to do good. Amen
