And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.(Exodus 17:14-16)

Do you remember the Amalekites? These descendants of Esau were the terrorists of the book of Exodus. Rather than waging a frontal assault on the children of Israel, Amalekites staged raids on the weak, sick, lagging members of the congregation , and slaughtered them without mercy.

God definitely wanted Israel to remember them,

Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt; How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.(Deuteronomy 25:17-18)

Balaam, the pagan Seer, whom God used to confound an Arab King who hired him to curse Israel, prophesied that Amalek was the first nation to resist Israel, and it shall be the last also, but doomed to utter defeat.

And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

We were reminded of the Amalekites again recently when the news came out about the terrorist assault on a Jewish family, in Judea. The Udi Fogel family were murdered in cold blood by members of the militant wing of the AL Aqsa martyr’s brigade, of the Fatah political party.

While the Fogel’s slept or read in their own beds, terrorists slipped into a home, stabbed a three-year old in the heart, slit the throats of an infant, an eleven year old reading in bed, and his sleeping father. They then slaughtered the children’s mother as she came out of her own bathroom.

The doomed “Palestinian” state of Gaza held street celebrations over the murders, passing out candies and dancing for joy in the streets.

These are the modern Amalekites. They may or may not be physical descendants of Esau’s grandson, Amalek, but they operate in the character of an Amalekite. Celebrating the stabbing of a three-year old by grown men? Passing out candies for joy over the slitting on an infant’s throat?

We have been discussing the fate of Arab nations in Bible prophecy, for the Lord has much to say about the inhabitants of what was once known as Ammon, Moab, Edom, Tyre, Damascus, Persia, Lebanon, Egypt and Libya.

There is an expression in scripture, a Hebraism, which calls certain ones “Sons of…”this or that. The two disciples of Jesus were nicknamed “Sons of thunder” for their temper. Antichrist is called “The Son of perdition” because he is already damned.

In other words, it is not a reference to biological descent, rather it means one who is “in the character of” a person or trait. The Arab muslim world operates in the character of Ishmael, who hated Isaac, and in the character of Esau, who felt cheated by and vowed to murder Jacob. Islam has taken up this “perpetual hatred”.

Islamic terror causes these people who perpetrate such atrocities, and those who openly celebrate them, to be “Sons of Amalek”. God told Moses and Joshua that He himself would be at war perpetually with Amalek.

Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.(Exodus 17:18)

These nations who jeered and celebrated in Israel’s calamities, time after time in the wanton slaughter, dispossession, and terror of the Jews in the land God promised them, are noted by the God of Israel, and marked for judgment.

This is a direct word to these gloaters in the book of Obadiah,

For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever…

But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.(Obadiah 10-12)

We need to pray that God will have mercy on these people, and grant them the ability to see that they are in a satanic religion and on their way to hell. Islam is a murderous deception which obviously snuffs out the humanity of its worshippers in proportion to the devotion of its adherents.

But we have all heard the countless redeeming stories of Palestinians such as the Hassan Yusef Massab (Son of Hamas), and Walid Shoebat who have found the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ, and obtained the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

It’s just AMAZING that the 3 areas the Isreal have had the most problems with are the same areas in Antiqity the Ancient Isreal was to to KILL EVER MAN, WOMAN and Child and utterly destroy ALL of thier possesions(Gaza Strip, “West Bank” and Golon Heights). Andient Isreal’s disobediance is haunting Modern Isreal.

This does not directly apply to this discussion but it may touch on prophecy. I was just watching a program about the death of Alexander the Great on the History Channel. The program went into the account of the cause of Alexander’s death—whether it was caused by poisoning or not. One thing that caught my attention was a brief mention that Alexander was planning on conquering Arabia.

If Alexander had conquered Arabia, the muslim religion might not have come into being because mohammed could not have grown his cult in a land that would have been part of a strong empire. Mohammed’s cult grew because he lived in a tribal lawless society. He was able to pick off one tribe at a time and to force the conquered tribe to become part of his army, enabling him to grow a huge army in a short period of time. This could not have happened if Arabia had been conquered by a civilized power such as the Greeks who would have instituted laws and government. Mohammed’s cult would have been squashed early on and islam would never have gained power.

The very Countries that Obama and the West are providing major assistance to for the Amalekites to come to power...

Sure- Daniel 8 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. 4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great. 5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. 6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. 7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. 8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

Daniel saw visions of the four great gentile powers who would rule over Israel. The third was the greek empire. Daniel 8 describes Alexander's victory over the Persians as the victory of the Ram(Persian symbol) over the HE goat-(greek word for goat-aexis- the Aegian Sea is literally the "goat sea"). In the vision the HE goat has incredible military success over the richer, and more populated superpower, the Persians. At the heigth of his power, He is cut down, and the empire is divided into four parts.

In history Alexander the great initiated wars against the Persian, defeatung them in a series of campaigns with lightening speed, agile movement and utter fury. At the Age of 33, he died in Babylon. Though he had two sons, his four generals carved up the empire...(see verse 8 above).

Daniel 11:2-4 echoes the prediction of the Great King of Grecia, And now I will show you the truth. Behold, three more kings shall arise in Persia; and a fourth shall be far richer than all of them; and when he has become strong through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece. Then a mighty king shall arise, who shall rule with great dominion and do according to his will. And when he has arisen, his kingdom shall be broken and divided toward the four winds of heaven, but not to his posterity, nor according to the dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom shall be plucked up and go to others besides these." (Daniel 11:2-4 RSV)

Daniel 8 actually gives it's own interpretation- He said, "Behold, I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of the indignation; for it pertains to the appointed time of the end. As for the ram which you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia. And the he-goat is the king of Greece; and the great horn between his eyes is the first king. As for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms shall arise from his nation, but not with his power." (Daniel 8:15-22 RSV)

According to Josephus, When Alexander arrived in Jerusalem, a copy of Daniel was presented to Him, pointing out the prophecies of his exploits which had been spoken centuries earlier...

"And when the book of Daniel was showed him, wherein Daniel declared that one of the Greeks should destroy the empire of the Persians, he supposed that himself was the person intended; and as he was then glad, he dismissed the multitude for the present, but the next day he called them to him, and bade them ask what favors they pleased of him.

The biblical references where Alexander saw might be Daniel 7:6; 8:3-8, 20-22; 11:3. Alexander supposed that himself was the person intended in the book of Daniel. He was so impressed by this that instead of destroying Jerusalem, so that he entered the city peaceably and worshipped at the Temple." (cited from http://otstory.wordpress.com/2008/08/03/why-did-alexander-the-great-like-the-book-of-daniel/)
