“” How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.” ~ Psalm 35:7~ ” Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight(make Him your delight) yourself in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

~Psalm 37:1-5~

Dear Heavenly Father,we thank You that we may come to You by Your Grace and that we can turn to You through prayer and intercession knowing that You hear us and love to answer our prayers! What an Awesome God, You are! Thank You for today and for the blessings You continue to bless us with everyday. It is a glorious privilege and honor to lift up before Your Throne our American Heroes. Thank You for blessing our country with such selfless and brave men and women , who love their country and are willing to lay down their lives so that we may remain a free Republic with Your Help and the help of freedom loving citizens! Please keep our Troops and their families in Your Perfect Peace as their minds are fixed on You because they trust in You.( Isa.26:3) Please be the shelter our Troops need, be their Everlasting Rock when they need You in battle. May our brave Troops and their brave families have Your Peace so their hearts are not troubled nor afraid.” Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let your heart not be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” ( John 14:27)

Our Beloved Creator and Redeemer, we lift from Your Living and Holy Word, a prayer for our Brothers and Sisters that are serving You and the land that they cherish, by obeying their Commander and leaving home and all the blessings it carries by going to combat or living in another land. We pray that You use them for Your Glory! We pray from the Book of Ephesians 3: 14-21. ” We fall on our knees before God the Father (from whom all fatherhood, earthly or heavenly, derives its name), and we pray that out of the glorious richness of His resources He will enable them to know the strength of the Spirit’s inner re-inforcement—that Christ may actually live in their hearts by their faith. And we pray that they, firmly fixed in love themselves, may be able to grasp (with all Christians) how wide and deep and long and high is the love of Christ—and to know for themselves that love so far beyond our comprehension. May they be filled though all their being with God Himself!

“Now to Him who by His power within us is able to do far more than we ever dare to ask or imagine—to Him be glory in the Church through Jesus Christ for ever and ever, amen!”

~ Ephesians 3:14-21~

We thank You for this time of prayer for each and every member of the United States Military. We are truly thankful to You, Great King, for creating each member. Please Dear LORD, may they know Your Precious Love and our undying gratitude. May they know how proud they have made this Nation and we count it a true privilege to pray for them and for their safety. We trust You, Holy Father, to guide and protect every member of the Special Forces as they go to the darkest and most dangerous places on earth.

Father in Heaven, We Surrender our Goverment to You completely! The Leaders, from the President down to the man who sweeps the floors at night, please open their eyes to the Truth of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ Our LORD and Savior, dying for their sins, and the need for them to be born again in order to enter the Kingdom Heaven. May they feel the need for Your Love and Call out to You and Repent! “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condenm the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:16,17) Praise Your Glorious Name Forever! Please send Your Powerful Holy Spirit to Washington D.C. to change the hearts of the men and women that “think’ they run this country! Please Gracious Savior, Have Mercy on this Nation and forgive our countless sins against You! How we have sinned! Please forgive us of the many sins we do everyday against Our Father in Heaven, Who provides us everything! May our eyes be opened and our hearts made new!

We praise You and thank You for allowing us to carry out this heartfelt task. We prayerfully ask You to keep each and every American Hero safe, strong and sure of the job they need to do. May they all know they are loved, respected, honored, and missed everyday they are away from Home! May many miracles happen to keep them all safe! We worship and adore You, Jesus! We love to give You all the Glory and ask for these requests in Your Holy Name, Jesus Christ, our Great Shepherd, amen.

Two Lessons Learned

July 14, 2012

A few weeks after writing an Our Daily Bread article about the importance of obeying the law, I set out on an 850-mile trip—determined to stay within the posted speed limit. While driving out of a small town in New Mexico, I became more occupied with unwrapping a sandwich than with watching the road signs, and I got a speeding ticket. My first lesson that day was that not paying attention costs the same as deliberate disregard for the law. And I still had 700 miles to go!

My second lesson was that our resolve will always be tested. I thought of Moses’ words to God’s people as they prepared to enter the Promised Land: “You shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not” (Deut. 8:2).

Pastor and author Eugene Peterson called the process of following Christ “a long obedience in the same direction.” Every resolution to begin to obey must be followed by many decisions to continue.

God gave me a humbling reminder of how vital it is to keep my heart set on obeying Him—and to pay attention along the way.

Thou who hast freely given
Thine all in all for me,
Claim this life for Thine own to be used,
My Savior, every moment for Thee. —Christiansen
To love God is to obey God.

Read: Deuteronomy 8:1-10

The Lord your God led you all the way these forty years . . . to humble you and test you. —Deuteronomy 8:2

Proverbs 8-11

I pray that Our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ will bless you as you continue in your prayers for our Troops and our Country.

"Do not be afraid of the enemy. Remember the LORD, Who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes. The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. Whenever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!" Nehemiah 4:14, 19-20

Stand and fight and see the victory of the LORD Jesus Christ, Our King!
