For all eternity, our God, we will praise You for Your Word. It is in Your Word made flesh that we have eternal life and a relationship with the living Creator of Heaven and Earth. You are alive in Your Word. Hallelujah. Because Your Word is life, we place our United States military into its care. So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. (Acts 20:32) Be their hiding place and their shield. Until You can lead each one to have hope in Your Word, we stand in the gap for them and place our faith in Your word which is able to save and keep them. We are not ashamed of our hope in You because we know that You hold us up. We pray for our Nation according to Your commandment. We ask You for wisdom for those in authority and know that it is this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We receive a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. We are grateful for an audience with the Most High and for answered prayers. We pray boldly before Your throne today solely because of the precious, cleansing blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Thank you for praying today.
Amen to your Prayer For Our American Heroes and For Our Beloved Nation.
Joining you in prayer for our Heroes and our beloved Nation.

Howard Sugden, my pastor when I was in college, preached many memorable sermons. After all these years, the one titled But God . . . still makes me stop whenever I come to those words in the Bible. Here are a few examples of verses that encourage me with the reminder of Gods righteous intervention in human affairs:
You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to . . . save many people alive (Gen. 50:20).
Their beauty shall be consumed in the grave . . . . But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave (Ps. 49:14-15).
My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever (Ps. 73:26).
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom. 5:7-8).
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard . . . the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit (1 Cor. 2:9-10).
Whenever you feel discouraged, look up some but God verses and be reassured of Gods involvement in the lives of those who love Him.
Read: Romans 5:8-11
Amen.
