Thou wilt keep him in

Do not be far from us, Lord, for trouble is near and there is no one to help...They feel like roaring lions tearing their prey open, their mouths wide against us. But to You, O Lord, we lift up our souls; in You we trust, O our God. Do not let us be put to shame, nor let our enemies triumph over us. Guard our life and rescue us, O Lord. Let us not be put to shame, for we take refuge in You. May integrity and uprightness protect us, because our hope in is You. Lord, You have told us in Your Word that in the last days many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate one another. O Father, please help us never turn away and turn cold. Lord, You asked in Your Word, "When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?". You search the world over for people with faith. Make us one of them, Lord. Find faith in us, Your children in this Nation, and find faith in all our American Hereos. Merciful God, thank You for opening our eyes and turning them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that we may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in You. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

It Will Be Worth It All
August 14, 2012
We wondered why a friend of ours kept traveling to Hobart, Tasmania. Recently she invited us to join her there. From the airport we drove over a bridge and through the city and suburbs. Nothing outstandingbut we kept on traveling. After a few difficult hairpin turns that took us slowly and sharply uphill, we saw the outline of the coast below. Still quite ordinary looking.
But as we drove up the steep driveway and arrived at our destination, the spectacular panorama of the city became clear. Even the bridge we had driven over that seemed so drab looked beautiful! Now we knew why she so often traveled there.
The lives of the pioneers of faith in Hebrews 11 had their share of hairpin turns and humdrum situations. But they pressed on and did not turn back. Their destination? Heaven, the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God (v.10).
Esther Kerr Rusthoi wrote about our journey to heaven in her hymn When We See Christ:
It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus;
Lifes trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase;
So bravely run the race, till we see Christ!
Today, whether life is ordinary or difficult, keep pressing on. At the end of the journey, you will see the amazing place God has prepared for us. And it will be well worth it!
The joys of heaven will more than compensate for the difficulties of earth.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON AND THE MARQUIS DE LAFAYETTE AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.
In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
