Christ Jesus, You said emphatically, "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing." In fact, You said, "He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."
Father, Your Word asks the question, "Does God give you His Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?" The answers is because they believed what they have heard.
Help us, help Your children in this great Nation, and help all of our American Heroes to do likewise, Lord. Father, we have been called for Your name's sake to the obedience that comes from faith. Please help us to understand that obedience demands faith.

Father, Your Word asks, "How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?"
Please help us to make every effort to obtain the praise that comes from You, Lord. We cannot obtain this praise from You without belief. Father, how we thank You for the faith You have given us. Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith was revealed.
Mighty God, help us to understand that we've been called by You to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
