Lord, we pray that You would guard our troops in spirit and in body. Deliver them from all evil.
Father, we pray for our leaders as they face the fiscal cliff. Whatever their position, whatever their party, please help them to act with wisdom and integrity.
O Lord, long ago You promised Your people that You would raise up for them a king whose kingdom never ends, a shepherd who would judge the flock with justice and gently care for Your sheep. They waited until the cities laid ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses were left deserted and the fields ravaged, until You had sent everyone far away and the land was utterly forsaken. And though a tenth remained in the land, it was again laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed was the stump in the land. Through war and exile and hardships Your purpose remained with Your people, and when the time had fully come, You sent Your Son. He opened a new and living way into the Most Holy Place, and through Him we receive an eternal inheritance that will never spoil or fade. Lord, in Your own perfect time You give more to us than we can ask or imagine, and we praise You in the Name of Jesus Your Son, Amen.

Amen to your wonderful prayer and revelation. I’ve been having trouble with the double pings myself lately. I know I only click once, but it still double pings. Must be a FR glitch. We’ll just pray double hard!
