Pray for our American Heroes and Nation

The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. (Luke 1:73-75)

Hallelujah to our awesome God! Each day offers “praise prompters” to us in abundance. As You open the eyes of our understanding to the greatness of Your love, grace and mercy, we are brought to our knees. Right now, as we ponder the precious Word that You left us, we are in awe that we have been delivered from the hand of our enemies so that we can serve You without fear in holiness and righteousness. We will do this “all the days of our life” and not just the “good” days. We receive this by faith in the integrity of Your Word.

Today we serve You by praying for kings and all those in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For You have told us that this is good and acceptable in Your sight because You desire all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Send the Word of faith to all those who work for us in Washington, D.C. as elected and appointed servants. Give them wisdom and understanding and a humble heart before You. Surround them with people who hear and know Your voice. With God all things are possible and we believe we receive.

Encompass each of our military men and women about with angelic protection and the peace that passes understanding. Let them experience Your joy of salvation. Provide comfort to each family member who will be without the physical touch of their loved ones during the celebration of Your first coming. Thank You, Sir.

Many families will have to deal with the pain of the loss of loved ones during this past year. We pray for their comfort. If any are blaming You out of ignorance, we ask You to send them the truth.

With the angels, we cry, “Holy, Holy, Holy” and thank You for answering our prayers today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
Open our eyes and the eyes of our countrymen, who like the Church of Laodicea think we are in need of nothing, but we are in great need - poor, naked, and blind.
May we depend solely on Your grace and mercy as the One who is our true source of riches, can cloth us in Your righteousness, and open our eyes to see.
Give us a heart of humility and repentence.
Bless those who mourn.
Watch over those who put themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe home and abroad - and their families who also sacrifice.

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

May we indeed remember who we are! For me, Valley Forge has always been a lesson in perseverance in the face of terrible circumstances. Washington faced an incredible ordeal during that frigid winter, yet, with the help of men like La Fayette and the irascible Von Steuben, he brought his rag-tag troops through it all and emerged with a trained Army that eventually won through to a stunning victory and to our Independence.



Keep Faith with the Fallen of Benghazi! Let the Obama Regime, for once, tell the Truth!
