Pray for our American Heroes

Father in heaven, we come to You with our prayers and our needs, for in You the fatherless find compassion.

Lord, we pray for those in our military who believe in You, that they would stand firm in their faith through whatever tests and trials come. Wherever they go, home and abroad, make them messengers of Your Word and Your comfort.

Father, we pray for the people of North Korea, that You would soon set them free of their evil rulers. Protect Your church in that place, and give them freedom to proclaim Your Name.

O God, hear our cry and listen to our prayer. From the ends of the earth we call to You, we call as our hearts grow faint; lead us to the rock that is higher than we. For You have been our refuge, a strong tower against the foe. We long to dwell in Your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. For You have heard our vows, O God, and given us Yours – vows of love and of faithfulness, of peace and of grace. You have given us the heritage of those who fear Your Name, and we seek our rest beneath Your feathers. In You we hope, and for You we wait, through the Name of Jesus Christ, that great Shepherd of the sheep, Amen.

OH LORD, when our founding fathers wrote the constitution of the land, YOU reined supreme in their hearts and minds. They made a vow, and YOU gave them a heritage of prosperity and freedom. We long for this once again. We long for our leaders to VOW to HONOR YOU: IN GOD WE TRUST. We pray for our military men and women who vow to serve GOD COUNTRY FAMILY and to protect this heritage given to us so MERCIFULLY and GRACIOUSLY. Thank YOU LORD GOD for YOUR LONGSUFFERING and PATIENCE over each generation till YOU return in GLORY. Amen.

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence.
