The Brazilion pope is too removed from the real world. It’s still a third world country.

Do you need to use so much cussing to express yourself?

The Church in Brazil is a mess, and while Scherer seems to be relatively conservative (emphasis on “relatively”), I’m not sure his experience there would be particularly relevant to the rest of the world. He seems to have spent many of his most recent years in Rome as a member of the Curia, however, and was part of the Congregation for Bishops during a number of years when there were some truly horrible bishops. So it would be more of the same, he’d probably undo the work that Benedict managed to achieve, and I hope he’s not the one!

Let the Holy Spirit do HIS WORK.

Why?

Politically correct humans are just sooooooo much smarter and wiser.

Just ask them ... they'll tell you all about it.

uhhhh ...

sarcasm ... if you were wondering.

Seriously: I agree. This one is for Holy Spirit to handle, He will send us the pope we need.

He's apparently "being proposed as a candidate to be the next Pope by some Italian cardinals from the Roman Curia" (who also want an Italian as Secretary of State).

Perhaps he's the choice of insiders trying to keep the business "within the family".
