So does this mean I should not be prepping?
You know the answer to that far better than me, for you know your own situation.
No. It just means you shouldn't waste time worrying about why you are prepping.
What happens happens. I really don’t think we can stop it from happening at this point. We can only be prepared to try and survive and do God’s will when its over.
Possibly start over with a clean slate when its over.
But what about the GOP going on offense instead of playing defense all the time.
Can’t we stop these liberals from destroying our nation?
The GOP isn’t going to do anything, they might promise to slow the decline but even that is doubtful.
I am not saying we stop fighting.
Good, I have this feeling that we will all be banding together to fight this current evil in our land.
"What's going to happen when we lose our health insurance? ...How can I possibly take care of my mom if she falls and breaks her hip...Even though we have two years of food preps the kids will go nuts with no hamburgers after one day...et. al.".Guilty as charged.
Have no fear for what tomorrow may bring, the same loving God who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day."
I'll try.
He will either shield you from suffering or give you unfailing strength to bear it.
I don't know if this is always true even among devout Christians. But I do believe there are tremendous graces available even if not strictly true.
“Cant we stop these liberals from destroying our nation?”
No. It would require a behavioral change in a large group of adults and in an educational system that is destroying our youth right now, none of which can be turned anytime soon. We are going down, just a matter of how fast.
Then it appears that our main avenue of weaponry is prayer. I’ll let you guys take care of the other side of the militia.
The rest of us will pray like we have never prayed before.
If so, just join the Citadel!

In a word, no!
1. I survived the Cuban Missile Crisis.
2. I survived an air base-wide fire involving Cape Cod national Forest.
3. I survived being in a passenger cAr that was ‘t-boned’, with me in the impact point seat.
4. I survived traveling cross country in blizzard conditions in the winter of 1966.
5. I survived being shot at, as a passenger on an east-bound train, as the train traveled through the major cities of the north-central United States, when stupid people were rioting and burning and shooting at anything, in 1968.
6. I survived my last two years of high school, at Sen. Joe Leiberman’s high school alma mater, which included gang fights in the hallways (no guns, yes chains and knives); two separate bombings; three fires; three separate incidents of rape and murder in the building during classes - one was my best friend).
7. I survived three years in SouthEast Asia, including just leaving a coffee shop in Bangkok, where the Thai Muslims demonstrated their ‘peace and love’ by blowing it to shreds.
8. I have been sober since 1988. I did this WITHOUT a nanny program.
9. I have NOT had a reason to even consider a credit card, since paying off my AmEx card in 1988. I did this WITHOUT A ‘DEBT RELIEF’ SHAM.
10. I am a colorectal cancer survivor, with three ‘re-do’ surgeries, since the original in 2000.
11. I am a survivor of Hurricane Katrina. I did not own a car; all my friends had their friends in their cars; and Greyhound stopped at noon on Saturday, 24 hours before the storm struck, so I hunkered down, and got out of town three days after it struck.
12. Every day I live, is another day that ticks off the Communist Lefties in this country, (whom IMHO should be pogromed, yes, I said it!), because I am STILL of SOUND MIND (with even being a ‘Viet Vet’), and am constantly and rationally defending the U.S. Constitution, the basic foundation principles of this country, am NOT a Republican NOR Democrat, exercise MY 2A, do NOT follow Moochelle’s dietary dribble, and doing this all on MY “paid for forty quarters, with my own tax money” Social Security and my veteran’s disability, and shall never bend my knee to a stinking human who thinks that they can me submit. Just remember that fancy hand spin demonstrated by John Wesley Hardin to Wild Bill Hickok!
Long Live The Republic!
Your list is more exciting than mine. But I suspect we all have similar lists if we really stopped to think about it.
Mat 7:7-11 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 "Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
Mat 18:19,20 "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. 20 "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."
Mat 21:22 "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
Mk 11:24 "Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
Luke 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"
John 14:13,14 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
John 15:7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
John 15:16 "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
John 16:23,24 "In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. 24 "Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.
James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
1 John 5:14,15 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
I guess being a “mountain man” or “Country boy” isn’t so bad. I grew up in the country, live in the country and can get through most things that may come my way. To copy good ole boy Charlie Daniels’s song title, “A Country Boy Can Survive”.
It’s not me or my wife I am worried for, as we have lived most of our life already, it is the children and their children and children’s children... that I worry for.
Sadly, this is no longer the country I grew up in but I will survive as long as I am on the green side of the grass.
We shall all pray!
And Christ repeated the words again and again: “Be not afraid.”
