Pretty funny stuff. And apparently done without malice, or insult.
At least I didn’t hear any insult or derision in it; then again, I’m not Catholic. But, I guess if you are seeking an insult, you can find one anywhere.

I think no insult or derision to Catholicism, Ireland or St. Patrick is meant in the video. As far as I know, both classical Protestantism and classical Roman Catholicism hold to the same theological perspective concerning the doctrine of the Trinity.

They do. The fuss was all about ‘’predestination’’i.e You’re bound to Hell if you don’t.... pay some bishop or priest a ‘’donation’’ so they’ll intervene on your behalf selling ‘’salvation’’ ‘(’’Indulgences ). The ‘’infallibility of the Pope, The Church of Rome(pre-Vatican), etc.

- Indulgences don't get anyone out of hell, but out of purgatory
- They therefore have nothing to do with salvation, since only the saved go to purgatory
- The "selling" of indulgences was banned by Trent 500 years ago
- The indulgences sold in Luther's day were for the dead, so the post-mortem fate of the people doing the buying didn't enter into the discussion

Luther saw it differently but then Luther was a notorious anti-Semite and like anyone one of us a flawed human being. Indulgences don’t get anyone out of Hell however indulgences certainly can get one into it.
