Easter customs mix pagan myths, rituals, symbols and practices with just a little truth. What's wrong with this picture?

The video is a review of the views of George Frazier, who was not a Christian and presented his “research” to claim all religious beliefs, including Christianity and Christ’s Resurrection are but re-plays of human belief systems modified throughout history.

Are you pushing the view that the death and Resurrection of Christ is a lie and a re-hash of older pagan beliefs?

That is what the video you link to states.

Easter is Biblical or its a tradition of men.
Where in the Bible is it commanded we celebrate Easter?

Nowhere.

John 1:29 The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Behold, the Passover Lamb, slain from the foundations of the earth, who took away the sin of the world!

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world.

There are plenty of clues, for him who has an ear to hear. YHVH did not come in the flesh to do away with himself. Yeshua is the living Torah. His sheep follow Him, they want to live like Him who kept the Torah, all the days and ways of His life.

Yep. It is also associated with the tradition of Mary Magdalene using an egg to explain the resurrection, which turned blood-red in her hand. The egg is her iconic symbol in some old icons.

“Easter is a replacement for the annual holy day of Passover which the Lord Jesus Christ created, kept, and told his followers to keep...”

And it called “Pascha” - passover - in almost the entire world.

English is a late-comer.

Easter is older than the New Testament.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its also a pagan holiday originating from the Norse and the Saxons. Indians, Greeks, Wiccans and many other ancient cultures have Easter traditions.
Including Christians.
You didn't get the video if you watched it. The video is NOT a review of the views of George Frazier. I think it uses one quote to support some of it's views but it also quotes many others.
Are you pushing the view that the death and Resurrection of Christ is a lie and a re-hash of older pagan beliefs?
Not at all. That's not what the video is about either.
So you’re saying Jesus and the Apostles didn’t hide Easter eggs and find them? Then that means this Easter business is some sort of hoax on the Christian community with Easter being a false fertility god and eggs and rabbits being signs of pagan fertility rites. I knew there was something hokey about the whole deal.
The resurrection happened at night.
I’ve always found it interesting that from sunset Friday to sunrise Sunday is 3 nights and 3 days.
Read it again. He said He would rise on the third day... not after three days were over.
Easter is a pagan insult that leads people to eternity in the lake of fire.
So you’re saying Jesus and the Apostles didn’t hide Easter eggs and find them?
That was right after they had a sunrise service....
Eze 8:16 So He brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house; and there, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east.
Eze 8:17 And He said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence; then they have returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their nose.
Eze 8:18 Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them."
No. More directly, that would be Holy Thursday and Good Friday... when the meal is celebrated and the Lamb is sacrificed. Easter is new... no other Passover Lamb came back to life.
I wrote George Frazier, when I meant James Frazier (author of Golden Bough).
Make what you are saying clear. It seems you are saying we should not celebrate Easter.
Is that what you are saying?
Perhaps ... but no one knows
Scripture said the women came in the morning
There are no such days created by the Lord nor found in his scriptures...
All the Christian celebrations mix pagan customs and Christian symbols. Santa and Rudolph. Bunnies and colored eggs. More fun for kids.
No actually, it is not. Christians were celebrating it centuries before Christianity came to Norway or Germany.
I will make it plain. NO, you should not celebrate Easter the pagan holiday. It is an offense to the Lord.
I'm not saying anything. Christ said we should observe His days and Easter isn't among them.
