Pray for our American Heroes and Nation

Father God, we are coming today before Your throne of grace on behalf of our American military and our United States of America, one nation under God.

We band of believers here “are standing firm in united spirit and purpose, striving side by side and contending with a single mind for the faith of the glad tidings (the Gospel).” (Phil 1:27). We “stand therefore [holding our ground], having tightened the belt of truth around our loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and rightstanding with God”, (Eph. 6:14). We stand, not moved by what we see or hear. We look only to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith and the faithfulness of Your Word.

Since we have prayed, we thank You for pouring out of Your Spirit on those in authority and our citizenry. We thank You for protecting our men and women in the military and for putting them precisely where they belong with Your ability in each one to successfully do the task set before him. We thank You for showing us undeserved favor and mercy by the blood of Jesus. We receive strength in our inner man to continue to stand, knowing that greater is He in us than he that is in the world. Glory to God! You always lead us in Your triumph in Christ Jesus. (2 Cor. 2:14)

We rejoice in You and worship, pray and praise in Jesus’ name. Amen.
