Prayer for Our Military Men and Women

Dear JESUS, KING OF KINGS and LORD of LORDS, I thank YOU for the prayers YOU hold for us. I thank YOU that we can read YOUR VERY WORDS with heavy hearts and know that YOU understand our concerns and our fears. I know that each of us here, who LOVE of our men and women, would like nothing more than to take them away from any harm, any battle, any foe…and it is a comfort to know that YOU understand our hearts and that YOUR PRAYER reaches deeper for them than the superficial things that this present world would give them as a hindrance. YOUR PRAYER REACHES THE HEART…and we ask that YOUR PRAYER remain over our loved ones whose battles are far beyond the battle field, the struggles within training, the loneliness of distance… but wage in the soul. OH LORD, keep them from the evil one…for his purposes are to lie, steal and destroy all any anything that pertain to GODLINESS and GOODNESS and POWER and STRENGTH…and they need all of this to be SOLDIERS in the ARMY OF THE ALMIGHTY, here and now till ETERNITY is there resting place…AMEN. Dear LORD, may I start asking personally for the hearts, souls, minds and strengths of my Jake and Courtney. I ask for all the loved ones of each and every heart that is praying this prayer today. I ask for those who are not known by us, but are known by YOU, ETERNAL GOD, who need prayer to touch them as much…OH LORD..hear our Prayer…Amen.

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation. From the brave, untrained volunteers who strode into Valley Forge that Winter arose the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, world-wide defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.

AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
