Muslims Mad as Hell About ‘Islamophobic’ Conference
The Christian Diarist ^ | August 11, 2013 | JP

Eastern Michigan University hosted a day-long conference Saturday that dared to ask the question: “Is Islam a Religion of Peace?”

Leaders of the state’s Muslim community apparently didn’t care to hear the answer because they tried mightily to get the conference cancelled.

“We respect the freedom of speech,” claimed Victor Begg, senior advisor of the Michigan Muslim Community Center. “However, denying the Holocaust, yelling ‘fire’ in a theater, or glorifying Hitler would not constitute freedom of speech.”

In other words, anyone who wonders aloud whether Islam truly is the peaceful religion its adherents claim is on a moral par with Hitler or, perhaps, James Holmes, the self-described “Joker,” who shot and killed 12 people in a crowded movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.

Begg and his fellow Islamic apologists were particularly offended that the sponsor of the East Michigan U conference – an Ann Arbor, Michigan radio station – invited Robert Spencer to speak.

He’s the author of 12 books, including two New York Times best sellers on Islam, The Truth About Muhammad and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades). He also is the director of Jihad Watch.org.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, an extereme liberal outfit that describes its mission as “fighting hate, teaching tolerance, seeking justice,” slanders Spencer as an “Islamophobe.” As proof, it notes that he has been banned from Britain as “extremist.”

Spencer is unworried about the Michigan Muslim Community Center, the Southern Poverty Law Center and other detractors.

“What I say is true,” he told an audience of more than 500. “And in the immortal words of Jack Nicholson,” he told Begg and others who took issue with his remarks, “‘You can’t handle the truth.’”

Indeed, in a recent survey by the Pew Forum of Religion and Public Life, one in five Muslims here in the United States said that “suicide bombing or other forms of violence against civilians in the name of Islam” could be justified.

What that means is that some 1.4 million American Muslims (out of an estimated 7 million) thought the 2001 terror attacks upon the World Trade Center justified, as well as this year’s terror attack during the Boston Marathon.

During his featured debate yesterday at Eastern Michigan U against Shadid Lewis, Regional Director of the Muslim Debate Initiative, Spencer forced the Islamist to effectively tap out.

Spencer didn’t subdue his debate foe with rhetorical jujitsu. Lewis was undone, Spencer said, in a post-debate blog post by “the numerous quotations I provided from Islamic authorities teaching warfare against and subjugation of unbelievers.”

Lewis, who converted to Islam two decades ago, was out of his depth yesterday in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Just like all apologists for Islam. For they are defending the religion of most of the world’s terrorists.

It’s a religion of peace if you’re a Muslim. If you’re a member of another religion, they make you walk on tiptoes.

"Peace" is only for men of their own sect

so what do the examples cited have to do with the topic of the discussion? Nothing! Muslims despise free speech just like they despise other religions (Allah and Mohammed, PissBUH, cannot tolerate competition.)

And those two protected examples represent widely held - and expressed - opinions of muslims worldwide. Holocaust denial - of course, have we forgotten all the holocaust denial conferences, books and speeches sponsored by muslims? Glorification of Hitler - give me a break, muslims were ALLIES of Hitler; the holocaust was the Grand Mufti’s idea fer cryin’ out loud.

As for crying “fire” in a crowded theater, everyone knows that’s not how muslims behave. They leave the yelling to others; they’re more interested in finding effective ways to make that fire happen in the first place.

Actually despite their idiocy, denying the Holocaust and glorifying Hitler are free speech issues. Yelling fire in a theater is different because it creates an immediate dangerous situation where people can get injured or killed.

The BBC banned Winston Churchhill in the 1930s for his "extremist" warnings of the dangers of Hitler and NAZIs.

If the theater is on fire you must yell “fire”.

Liberals and muslims would prefer barring the doors and filling the sprinklers with casoline. Or zyklon.

Here's a word everybody should be familiar with:

Taqiyya. If you don't know what it means, go learn. I suspect Taqiyya flowed like a river at this conference.

Those wanting to learn more can watch this eyeopening video. Eight minutes.

I am still mad a hell about 9/11!

You are not the only one...

Those MF'ing bastards totally changed America...I now fully understand why the WWII generation still distrust the Japanese...

My personal opinion is we should profile every person coming from a predominantly Muslim country...even a hint of radicalism...NOT WELCOME

Anything else I say will get me banned.. !

Hold the conference & be prepared. A Taser or two & a couple cans of wasp spray, plus a few ax handles might serve to keep the muzzies at bay.

And instant upload cameras everywhere. Let the world see these 7th century knuckledraggers for what they really are.

The only reason "yelling 'fire' in a theater" isn't covered is due to the probability of loss of life caused by the act

Then again, have you been inside a theater recently?

The five to ten people running out probably won't even see each other let alone trample each other.

“However, denying the Holocaust, yelling ‘fire’ in a theater, or glorifying Hitler would not constitute freedom of speech.”

Two of those three items would indeed be speech protected under 1st Amendment.

Islam is the mortal enemy of Western civilization. There will NEVER be a peaceful coexistence with them. No Muslim will EVER be my countryman. I will NEVER trust one of them.

“We respect the freedom of speech,” claimed Victor Begg...

I would really like to see an example of that, please, Mr. Begg. I have yet to see just one.....

Also, islam is not a religion of peace, it is a religion of submission. Bears repeating until all mooselimbs are forced to answer on that "peace" thing.

Hey “Vick’’, let me hip you to something concerning free speech in America, okay? All those things you claim can't be said. Holocaust denial, glorifying Hitler and that hoary old ''fire in a crowed theater'' thing IS FREE SPEECH whether you approve of it or not. Hells Bells dude, you Muslims are always saying the Holocaust never happened but should happen. Free speech in America means just that-free to say what you want. Now you're going to find people who won't agree with what you say, you might even face criminal charges because of it, or you might even get the old "Haymaker''(punch) right in the kisser, and you could face charges for that!(free speech is something else , ain't it?) but no one can deny anyone the right to speak. If that were the case that you could deny someone the right to speak, as you Muslims would like it be, than no one will have that right anymore, catch my drift "Vick''?
