>> quote Holy Writ with the apperant intent to lead people away from their beliefs.<<

Um,,,,,,,Yeah!!! God’s words are always a call to lead people away from pagan beliefs and practices and into His will.

Certainly! She wrote scads of poetry; some really good stuff for such a young age (1st or 2nd-grade), but the book my mother made of all her works was destroyed in a flood. I can’t remember the deeper stuff verbatim.

You asked; Yet to a previous comment which I made to you, other than a question, I provided link to a spread of five versions (including Douy-Rheims, American 1899) of some scripture passages, to which you replied;

Which logically rather begs the question;
Then why now question me? You have just said "heretics blather" does not "interest" you.

If I am (in your own estimation) the very "heretic" to whom you meant to refer in that non-answer reply which you offered to myself, that is. As it came about, it was less than entirely & precisely clear to who it was you were referring to.

If not be myself you were calling a "backwoods ignoramous" (along with also referring to myself as "heretic"?) then who? Is God a backwoods ignoramous? I'm pretty sure he could skin a buck and run a trot line better than I, but I can get'r done. County boy will survive, by the Grace of God...

All I did was ask a couple of questions, and provide a link to some scripture, with myself calling that "the word of God."

Please stipulate more clearly who you are calling "heretic" and "backwoods ignoramous".

And the Last Judgment, when Christ separates the sheep from the goats?

Which group will you be in?

There won't be any members of the church in either one of those groups...

No one “knows” - sin can destroy anyone. God knows, but no one else does.

Well of course we know...You are under the false impression that because you don't know, no one can know...

Everyone will be judged.

While we are alive, Christ is perfect mercy. At the moment of our death, Christ will be perfect justice.

If they didn’t skip over the rest you can rest assured they didn’t believe what scripture clearly says. It conflicts with what their “church” says and they have stated over and over the “church” trumps” scripture. It’s really sad.

Yes He will. What part of the words I had put in red in my post did you not understand?

that ye may know that ye have eternal life
Nothing can separate a child of God from their Father
. and they shall never perish
and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
We are clothed with the perfection of Christ we can rest assured we will have no worries.

Jude 1:24-25 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blamelessbefore the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ” (Romans 8:1)

2 Corinthians 5: 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Hebrews 10:17 Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.

Can you imagine standing before God and He doesn’t even remember that we sinned because of the cleansing blood of Christ? We have been sealed as a guarantee by the Holy Spirit, we alreadyknow that we have eternal life, nothing can separate us from our Father, and we shall never parish.

Oh what a glorious day that will be! To stand blameless before the Father to praise Him for all eternity!

Of course the deceiver and accuser will cause some to doubt God’s words and not experience that joy we have in Christ.

What benefits do believers receive at death?

#1. They no longer are enslaved to post on FR all hours of the day and night!

By studying and BELIEVING the scriptures without trying to put interpretations into it, or leaving parts out or adding to it...

Posting the items that have benefited me enormously in the hope they help others.

When my best friend in Michigan passed away after watching her beloved daughter die from kidney disease, I needed something badly from the Lord to soothe my heart and my soul.

This was it.

This friend was also instrumental in leading me to the Lord. This reassured me of exactly where she was and what she was now experiencing and that I did not need to grieve for her like most do for the dead.

And when other believers died, such as my beloved grandmother, I was again reminded of the hope and privilege all believers have when they die.

Sadly, this forum is not conducive for soul winning or any genuine show of faith. It is simply a catholic vs. protestant slug out and I am not interested in that. So perhaps there is no place for me here.

Oh, that’s too bad, mlizzy! I know you would have loved to have kept them. But some still live inside you and that is so cool.

I keep all the little bits and pieces my nieces and nephews have given me over the years and have them displayed around the house. Embarrasses them sometimes, but, oh well.....lol.

They are my life and my heart and looking at all the sweetness surrounding me from them makes my heart very glad!

the holy Catholic church

And here is your error. There is no capital letter with the word, "catholic." The word means, "universal". The reference is to the church, the universal one consisting of Christians of all nations, kindred, and tongues; the entire body of Christ. It does not refer to the particular Roman Catholic Church as you suppose. And, one further point: Latin doesn't make it more true or right.
