I know that as far away as I can get from your beliefs, the better off I am. Now, carry on with your power, the only power given to the “faithful”: sex. Sort of. As long as it conforms to the RCC.

“Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;
this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us (his) flesh to eat?”

Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.
Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.

This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”

These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum
Then many of his disciples who were listening said, “This saying is hard; who can accept it?”

Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, “Does this shock you?

What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

But there are some of you who do not believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him.
And he said, “For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father.”

As a result of this, many (of) his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him

Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?”

Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.”
Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you twelve? Yet is not one of you a devil?”

He was referring to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot; it was he who would betray him, one of the Twelve.” [John 6: 49-71]

It’s truly bizarre! Catholics post threads about sex and contraception then accuse non Catholics of being obsessed with sex. They demand scriptural support for our views but deny they need them for theirs. They condemn homosexuality but harbor and protect homosexual clergy. They call non Catholics heretics but administer the “Eucharist” to those who legalize and fight for abortion and give them full Catholic honors at funerals. They hold themselves up as the model for Christianity and then wonder why non believers think Christians are hypocritical.

Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem;
Creatorem caeli et terrae.

Et in Jesum Christum,
Filium eius unicum, Dominum nostrum;
qui conceptus est
de Spiritu Sancto,
natus ex Maria virgine;
passus sub Pontio Pilato,
crucifixus, mortuus, et sepultus;
descendit ad inferos;
tertia die resurrexit a mortuis;
ascendit ad caelos;
sedet ad dexteram Dei Patris omnipotentis;
inde venturus est
iudicare vivos et mortuos.

Credo in Spiritum Sanctum;
sanctam ecclesiam catholicam;
sanctorum communionem;
remissionem peccatorum;
carnis resurrectionem;
vitam aeternam. Amen.

In English:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ,
his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived
by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary,
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
he will come again
to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen

Procreative potential CB.

How old was Sarah when she conceived? And Rebekah?

I read an article in the paper a few month back about a woman in her 60’s who became pregnant.

Nonetheless, the logic is valid. Our arguing in favor of sex without procreative potential supports the rise and continuation of homosexuality. They need that argument since they have zero procreative potential.

The heretics here want a binary decision, either sex is always for procreation or it is not.

They ignore the reality of both Natural Law and Christian teaching in this arena as they appear to want that ability to ignore the Law and enjoy sex outside the bounds of Christ’s Law.

And Paul supports the rise and continuation of alcoholics right?

1 Timothy 4:1-5 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.

THIS is what you think we are getting at here?? We want a "binary decision" on sex?

How about a "where is your sense of front burner issues"?? LIKE the gospel of your salvation. Or being reconciled to God by the finished work of Christ? I guess those will just have to wait until a "binary decision" can be made regarding sex. I'm sure God is sitting on pins and needles waiting.

Catholics post that they staunchly believe that Jesus “descended into hell” but can’t tell me which of the three places that have been translated into English as hell He descended into. But they will post incessantly that I don’t understand what Catholics believe.

It's a smokescreen to keep people from the real pressing issue of being reconciled to God through the finished work of Christ on the cross.

1 Corinthians 2:2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Since your argument about Paul doesn't bear on the case at hand at all, then I can only assume that you acknowledge the connection between lack of procreative potential and that argument supporting homosexuality.

Do you honestly think your scripture cited supports alcoholism? It essentially says: alcohol can be used medicinally.

On the other hand, arguing for sex without potential procreativity in exhibit A can be used in support of arguing for sex without procreative potential in exhibit B.

THEY don’t even know what they believe. They can’t even agree with each other.

The CCC contradicts itself and comes down on both sides of the issue so that no matter what they say, they can claim they’re always right.
