She has been having a lot of pain in her knee. We are hoping this surgery will relive her pain and help her to get around better.

She has arthritis. She is 73 and has had some heart trouble in the past, so I am a bit nervous about her having this surgery, which is why I am asking for prayers for her.

I am sure the surgeon will be guided by God’s hand, but having been through shoulder surgery, my prayers are for her strength through the recovery therapy.

What surgery is she having? I too have (had) bad arthritis in both knees. I am currently going thru recovery from my 2nd total knee replacement. I am a bit younger than your Mom, but with a positive attitude and a lot of physical therapy she will recover and enjoy being painfree!

Oh, I forgot to add. I’m 67 and my knees act up a little bit. I take salmon oil capsules; and I do think those help me keep going. I guess the oil keeps the old knees sort of lubricated. I get the good quality salmon oil capsules; don’t trust some of the fish oil ones at some of the stores.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post an update. My mom's surgery went well.

She is still in the hospital, might be able to come home Saturday.

She is having a lot of pain, but that is expected.

Thank you to everyone for praying for her and for your stories about knee surgeries.

My mom also thanks you- I read your posts to her before surgery. It helped to reassure us about it.
