You may remember when this made news a few weeks back.
Now, some teachers are challenging the contract:
About 60 people gathered Tuesday on Fountain Square to protest new language in the Cincinnati archdiocese’s teacher contract.
They walked to the archdiocese offices on East Eighth Street, they said, to hand-deliver petitions – including an online version initiated locally – with more than 24,000 signatures.
The contract, which all teachers in the 19-county archdiocesan school system are required to sign for the 2014-15 school year, includes so-called morality clauses that are more detailed and restrictive than in past teacher contracts.
The contract for the first time spells out that archdiocesan teachers are not allowed to support publicly behavior that is in contrast to Roman Catholic teachings on gay “lifestyles,” out-of-wedlock relationships, abortions and certain fertility methods.
Some participants in the “March to Fix the Contract,” however, feel alienated. They said the restrictions don’t jibe with their own views as Catholics.
“They aren’t listening to all Catholics,” said Tom Flautt of Anderson Township. “They’re only listening to a small group.”
He thinks the contract is a thinly veiled attempt to shield the archdiocese from potential lawsuits – if, for example, a teacher is fired because of his or her personal beliefs.
“The whole thing is about money,” said Flautt. “This contract is an attempt to keep them from having to pay for improper labor actions.”
The march drew a mix of parents, students, former teachers and others who support their cause.
And that is why the contracts have been amended.
Anyone who does not like it is free to go work in the PUBLIC schools - if they can take it.

Most notibly absent - the teachers themselves. My guess this massive crowd of 60 mostly contained the last group "others who support their cause".

“Their views as Catholics” are irrelevant. If they don’t subscribe to (believe in, even though they may sin from time to time) the Church doctrine, they are simply NOT Catholics.

The gulf separating what Catholics know about their faith from what they don’t know about it is, well, big.

Just so. None of them are teachers. And there’s nothing in the article to indicate that any of them have children in the Catholic school system, either.
I suspect that almost all, or maybe all, of these protestors are gay-loving outsiders. Frankly, it’s none of their business.
The Bishop is tightening up the rules now because it wasn’t necessary earlier. But better to do it now than have a bunch of trouble down the line with renegade teachers.
Really? Sixty whole people showed up? What a groundswell!
I don't see any reason for private religious schools NOT imposing a strict interpretation of their religious tenets on employees. If parents and teachers don't like it, they can work or have their children go to the public schools and the mayham that a lack of high standards has caused.
The problem could happen if religious schools get any kind of aid, including voucher students. It has opened the doors to federal and state regulation.
Conversely, if you are good enough to get a job as a public school teacher but don't get one, you must have reasons for wanting to be at a parochial school. That would preclude being against their teachings and doctrines.
As this causes a paradox, the answer is that you are unqualified to be a school teacher, so go away.
I imagine these marchers were delighted with the Lesbian Threesome who were recently Married to each other.

What horrible, brutal requirements. It’s almost like a North Korean labor camp.
I suspect, too, that many organizations need to shore up their bona fides regarding such issues and Obamacare or other challenges present or future.
If the teachers are unhappy about this they should take it up with God. Or they can chose to not to be Christians and not teach in Christian schools.
