Praised, I cry, is the LORD, and I am saved from mine enemies. Psalm 18:4
TOPICS: Prayer
KEYWORDS: military
OH LORD, MIGHTY IS YOUR NAME. We have only but to speak the name of JESUS and all enemies flee, both physical and spiritual. ALL POWER and ALL AUTHORITY has been given to HIM alone, for HE is KING OF KINGS and LORD of LORDS, and the ONLY VICTOR to be praised. SOVEREIGN GOD. With the words of David we cry: PRAISED IS THE LORD. YOU ARE WORTHY OF ALL PRAISE. We lift our faces and look to heaven, and speak Thy Praise, and we are not defeated. . . We are saved because WORTHY IS THE LAMB to receive HONOR AND BLESSING and PRAISE, here and now, in the future, and through ALL ETERNITY. YOU ARE OUR ONLY STRENGTH, HOPE and LOVE.
Dear LORD GOD, we pray for each and every one of our service men and women. OH GOD, let the earth shake from the voices of their PRAISE followed by songs of VICTORY. OH GOD, teach them of THY GLORY and STRENGTH through the chaplains that serve with diligence to minister to our heroes. Teach them of THY GLORY and STRENGTH through their fearful prayers and faithful PRAISE in all and any triumphs that they may have. Teach them of THY GLORY and STRENGTH through thanksgiving as they see THY HAND of protection bringing them home. OH GOD
May the PRAISES of THY NAME be the BANNER FOR WHICH THY MARCH ON. We Pray.
And LORD, for any hero who will march toward Eternity, even this day, may PRAISE BE FOUND to the GLORY OF THY SALVATION, saving them from the final enemy
even death
to LIFE ETERNAL in THE NAME OF JESUS, who name LIVES AND REIGNS FOREVER AND EVER
whose PRAISE will never end. AMEN.

The Worlds Children
June 17, 2014
Read: James 1:222:1
After a group of high schoolers visited an orphanage during a ministry trip, one student was visibly upset. When asked why, he said it reminded him of his own situation 10 years earlier.
This young man had been living in an orphanage in another country. He said he recalled people coming to visit him and his friendsjust as these students were doingand then going away. Occasionally someone would come back and adopt a child. But each time he was left behind he would wonder, Whats wrong with me?
When the teenagers would visit an orphanageand then leavethose old feelings came back to him. So the others in the group prayed for himand thanked God that one day a woman (his new mother) showed up and chose him as her very own son. It was a celebration of an act of love that gave one boy hope.
Across the world are children who need to know of Gods love for them (Matt. 18:4-5; Mark 10:13-16; James 1:27). Clearly, we cant all adopt or visit these childrenand indeed we are not expected to. But we can all do something: Support. Encourage. Teach. Pray. When we love the worlds children, we honor our Father who adopted us into His family (Gal. 4:4-7).
Father, You made each child in Your
image. Help us to convey Your love
to them with our hands, our help,
and our hearts.
The more Christs love grows in us, the more His love flows from us.
James emphasizes not only learning the Word of God but putting it into action. The Word is like a mirror that shows us where we are making spiritual progress and where we need improvement: But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does (v.25). The Scriptures clearly give us set boundaries, but it is obedience that brings us a sense of liberty and blessing.

Amen, Jeanbl, it is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in man.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
