When Jesus stood before Pilate, just prior to going to His execution, Pilate asked Him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” After some discussion, Pilate concluded, “You are a king, then!” Jesus replied, “You are right in saying that I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
Sounding much like a modern-day graduate of Harvard’s divinity school, or the Dean for Religious Life at Stanford University (who both probably have about the same regard for Christ as did Pilate), Pilate concluded his exchange with Jesus by asking, “What is truth?” And just as one would expect from someone so blind to the truth, Pilate and the crowd sent the most innocent man the world has ever known to his excruciating death.

Had Pilate known what Jesus was about, that would have been a horrific pickle for him... what, I’m supposed to crucify this Man? Well maybe not such a pickle. He would have worshiped Jesus and let the situation fall where it may, which could have ended up with Caesar on both of their backs. Man can’t plan anything that God cannot deftly work around.
The fact of the matter, is that He died because of you and me,
We killed Jesus.
Truth is NOT always offensive. It is only offensive to those who hate it, reject it, or cannot face it.
Jesus also said in John 3, “men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who practices THE TRUTH comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought by God.”
What does light do? Reveals. What does it reveal? What is really true. Light and truth are inseparable.
Liberals hate both truth and light. Their means is to lie, to deceive, as they, like the Jewish leaders of His day, are children of their father - the father of lies. Obamacare was conceived in darkness, passed in darkness, and was lied about in every detail. It never would have passed in the light even with the Dems controlling both houses.
To make a liberal mad, tell him the truth. To make a Christian conservative mad, tell him a lie.
If we didn’t have those who love the light and love the truth, there would be no Free Republic.

Obama has publicly lied to the whole nation repeatedly about Obamacare - AND HAS EVEN BEEN FULLY EXPOSED BY ALL THE MEDIA IN A COUPLE OF THOSE LIES.
