What is Holi? Rooted in Hindu mythology, Holi also celebrates the triumph of good over evil symbolism that correlates with the passing of winter. The Holi Festivals history stems from the legend of a female demon and her brother, who believed was the ruler of the universe, according to CNN. His son, however, followed Vishnu, the protector of the universe, turning his back on the demon. The demon siblings plotted to kill the sun, but failed and died after Vishnu protected the son, who in turn became the king.

Fabulous!!!!!
Happy Holi!
LOL I checked my iCalendar for the month, and thought I had somehow mis-entered a “holiday” with only the first few letters ;-).Wouldn’t let me remove it, then I found that it was this holiday.
Happy Holi-day.
Google Doodle of the Day
I had the same thing happen. It was only just now that I found out about it.
Yes it does.
It may show up later? Holi is today, Easter is still a few weeks away. But then consider it is multi-national mega-outfit Apple!
Just now checked and it IS back. It was missing before because I checked when I wasn’t sure what date Easter fell on this year. Glad they listened to complaints.
Either none or all, would make most sense.
It should have ALL the holidays that are observed in the calendar of the United States. If you’re in the U.K., I don’t think you’d see Independence Day or Thanksgiving on your calendar, right? Other countries also have specific holidays they observe that may differ from ours. But there ARE holidays that are pretty universal such as Easter and Christmas - though Christmas is observed on differing dates depending on the country. We also have New Years Day, M.L. King Day, Presidents’ Day, Daylight Savings Day, etc. that other countries don’t.
Whether or not someone “observes” certain dates or not, it’s still a good idea to at least show them on the calendar for informational purposes.
Yes, I agree, for all the major religions.
Do I get lots of vindaloo, popadums and plenty of lager?
Yap, if you visit any good Indian Buffet lunch! When I lived in Chicagoland, Bombay Palace downtown was great.
Let’s go!
