Oh yes there is, because if we were all Gods, we would know all the mysteries of the universe/creation. Which we don’t, we would certainly know if creation or evolution is the truth. We would be able to live longer than an average life span. We would not be warring with one another. The possibilities are endless as to the chaos that would exist if we were all God’s. You would not want to believe that Bill Clinton is God, would you?

How about The Koran?

No thats the book of Lies! Otherwise it would recognize the diety of Jesus. I will not change my mind on this and will fight to the Death to defend it because I am a Bigot. I have spoken and it is so! Anybody who says different has poo poo for brains and, to oppose me is liken to pi$$ing into the wind or eating Goober Peas, as you'll just wear out your grinders flappin your Cake Hole talking to me about it. Your words will not matter when you address me in opposition to what I believe. You would do better by approaching me physically and attempting to kill me. Feel Free to do that!

Oh yes there is, because if we were all Gods, we would know all the mysteries of the universe/creation.

My assumption was a god that could make himself forget and limit his power for a period of time, in order to experience life without such abilities and knowledge.

You would not want to believe that Bill Clinton is God, would you?

Not really. But like I said, I don't believe it. I just don't think it's illogical.

IMHO it seems the old testament proves that no one can live up to the strict letter of the law.

Whereas the new testament says you are saved by grace, and compares your heavenly father with your earthly father, speaking in terms of love.

I guess I just don't get it. Doesn't God love budhists, shintoists, taoists, and etc as much as he loves christians? What's up with that?

So it is with the Scripture. IF there were just SOME past prophecy that had come true, we might be tempted to check........

I go with an old atheist's adage, "Nothing fails like prayer, unless you count prophecy."

The prophecies in the Bible are no different than Miss Cleo, IMO.

I think your tale has to be altered.

It's not the rich man telling the folks to go through the door, it's other folks claiming to know the rich man who are telling them that they know best, that they have actually talked to the rich man, and that the folks should go through the door. However, they've never been on the other side of the door themselves and they only believe what they've been told by others about what good things are on the other side of the door.

Moreover, there are other people telling the folks to walk through an entirely different door because the food is really behind that one. When the folks look around, they see there are ten doors, each with a group of people urging the folks to walk through and be well fed.

Needless to say, everyone is telling the folks that if they choose the wrong door, they will die.

Sounds like giving everyone a dirty look and staying put is a reasonable thing to do.

So.... your mind's made up then.

Memo to God:

No need to whack this one upside the head, he won't listen.

I think you spoke from a position where even if you're wrong you're right. If you're wrong and the rock worshipper is right was you've lost is all of the time and money that went into your worship of Christ, and you've also lost your chance at immortality in paradise. Same thing the other way, if you're right and he's wrong he loses the time and money and the shot at immortality in paradise. Basically that's what everybody loses if they bet wrong on the roulette table of religion, assuming anybody is right. If the atheists are right nobody gets a shot at immortality in paradise and everybody that believes anything wasted their time and money.

You sound like a really nice person! But logically speaking, if you don’t even believe what you just said and admit it so willingly, then already you are acknowledging my previous point. That not everything is True, even if someone believes it with all of his or her heart does not make it true. So the question boils down to; what do you believe in and why? And if this is not important to you, than that’s o.k. (Foolish, but o.k.) But you cannot logically extrapolate that out to mean that nothing is true. So your job is to look with your heart to find out.

So.... your mind's made up then.

Actually, as I've stated time and again, I am open to any independently verifiable evidence you would care to present.
