First thank you for your service. My family and I are forever grateful for such brave men (and women) as you.
Second, I’m a member of the FR Canteen where we honor the troops 365 days of the year. We’re there to entertain you (got music on weekends) and to help anyway we can.
Third, no matter where you are, remember you are never alone. When you are sitting somewhere, in the dark and alone, think about all the thousands and thousands of people praying for you (and all the other military personnel (and allies)). And God sees you no matter where you are.
I pray for our military every morning (unless I’m pissed off by another driver), so rest assured that someone, other than God and your mates, has your back.

Hotmetal, thank you for your service. We appreciate your sacrifice and what you are doing there in the Rockpile. My wife and I have a son in Paktika Province with the 172nd C Company 2/28 Inf “Spartans”. Prayers are heading your way, keep your eyes and ears open, watch your six, keep your buddies safe, and come home to party and reunite with family and friends.
