Nope, he's a lib. Remember he was a tie-dye nut. I also saw him in Hardball arguing (with lots of conviction) the Kerry line. I suspect Foley is a lib because he has Hillary Hips. You ever notice how womanly MF's bottom is. Put him in a black pantsuit and he looks like Hill from behind.
Good thing the Scuffling Hillbilly and Rufus RRRRRRRRR Freight Train Jones aren't around. They give Mankind such a pounding.
In a related topic, I saw a indie film showing Mankind as he fought his big duel with (darn it escapes me - let's just say Joe October) Joe October. Joe October was kicking his fanny. Mankind was really getting hit with those chairs (and not just the flat side) and his head split open. They showed his kids crying and he would say, hey it's just a job.
Same film had Jake the Snake Roberts in it (and Jake's father). His father was 70 and was chopping wood on the file for like 10 minutes straight. Amazing.
It was all fake but it was interesting even so.
They're going to have to take me before they get the belt back though. And the way I got if figured, no one short of Mill Mascaras has a chance.
Anyone recall Championship Wrestling from Florida back in the '70's? Tim Woods. Bobby Shane ("I don't want you bad mouthin' me on TV, you understand?'). Ed Graham. And a host of others. That was entertaining wrestling. At the time I thought it was head and shoulders above McMahon's WWWF.
John Studd, I believe, died some years back. I don't know what happened to Bundy, but I did see him on an episode of "Married With Children"!

It's a pity, really. I think McMahon was absolutely brilliant as a ring announcer pretending he wasn't the owner, quite on a par with the contrived outrage of Gene Okerlin.
A couple of weeks ago we were treated to a Jerry Lawler birthday match with Rick Flair. Those two old guys could still put on a show, and I hope the pumped-up wannabes in the locker room were taking notes. And one last thing - I wish Lawler had broken Andy Kaufman's neck...

Actually I don't think Bischoff was nearly as creative as Paul E. His one great idea - turning Hogan and forming the NWO - was actually stolen from Japan. Also at the time he had an unlimited checkbook from Turner to raid the WWF's talent.
His big mistake was giving the Hall's and Nash's of the world guaranteed contracts and not allowing the younger, more exciting guys (Jericho, Steve Austin, et. al) get a push after the NWO angle ran its course.
Actually I think McMahon's first trip into the ring (against Stone Cold) was brilliant. He had built up to that for about a year w/ the evil "Mr. McMahon" character, and his getting his a$$ kicked in the ring was something the fans paid huge $$ to see, and was the perfect blow-off for the feud.
I've loved Flair for years, but he's a parody of himself now. But still, any of these guys today (I haven't watched for about 3 year) could take a lesson from Ric Flair about how to wrestle, hold the crowd, and tell a story in the ring. Just watch his tapes from the mid 80's NWA. The guy was the best.

I love Jerry Lawler. He makes no bones about where he stands politically. When Clinton was president, he never missed a chance to take a shot at him. I also remember him jumping all over Al Gore because he wouldn't concede. And from time to time this past year he's thrown in a flip flop joke about Kerry.
The only thing more phony than wrestling is . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . the DemocRATic Party.
Nah, best all time rivalry was Mr. Wrestling #2 vs Professor Taro Tanaka or Abdullah the Butcher.
It was the Rock and the movie was Beyond the Mat. I think it was actually nominated for an Oscar in the best documentary category.
Shame to hear that about Mick. His first book was great and I loved his Mankind character. Unfortunately, it has been downhill since.
