If you were born somewhere else and you are loyal and care enough about the US to serve: that is a good thing. Get it?

Not always. Just ask the FBI and CIA about that little traitor Pollard. Sometimes its just to get their little hands on classified information.

Excellent thought. There is more to this story than we are hearing. The US Govt. spends many thousands of dollars in background investigations. Belive me they check all the way back to place of birth, interview friends and schoolmates, family, old girlfriends etc. He knew the rules. he abviously gave them reason to jerk the clearance. Giving Top secret info away to anyone is a crime, TREASON and he cou7ld be subject to death because it is a time of war. Isreal maybe a close ally but they don't always follow what is in our best interests at all times.

The bulk of the absentee ballots in Florida, other than Military were postmarked "Isreal."

One: Show me

Two: Americans staying in Israel should not be allowed to vote? What if they are in Canada instead? Florida retirees vacationing in Israel do not take Israeli citizenship.

Personally I dont know many Muslims who holds dual citizenship while wearing the uniform of our country.

What different would that make if you are a traitor? If you are a terrorist you would probably try to deceive this country like this Muslim did. This is what you should be ranting about:

Al-Qaeda terrorist duped FBI, Army [ trained as Green Beret and was US Army Sargent]

Pollard was not a dual national. He was as American as Ames and Hanson and Walker and almost all of America's spies since Arnold.

Take your dual citizenship and cram it you know where.

Great idea. I like that.

The world isn't mad at Jews. Only a small number are. You just get to here about thoses cases all the time. The victim mentality is a bigger problem now.

"Not that there is anything wrong with it" but we would not have asked if you had not told.

There’s a certain irony that this appears the same day as another thread (3rd or 4th) on Rick Rescorla, the head of security at Morgan Stanley, who perished 9/11. Also a hero at the Battle of the Ia Drang Valley in 1965, a and a British Army veteran. There are and always have been many non-citizens in our military.

I have a feeling, though, we don’t have all the story here, particularly given the fact that he approached the press. As an ex Ranger (?), there are other units in which he could serve. The article ignores the fact that he is an expert on Middle Eastern affairs, and an advisor to several Israeli think tanks (odd, since he has written for the JP). Given the nature of some of his writings (see links), and particularly the fact that he is in a linguistics unit, his background would appear to be a real asset in MI.

A natural born US citizen for his first 17 years, the service in the IDF would have been mandatory when his family relocated. It wasn’t his option. Interestingly he returned here after his 3 years of service. The loyalty issue, based on his youthful IDF service and dual-citizenship is nonsense. Most 17 year olds will relocate with their family.

I suspect there were reasons for his clearance loss that we don’t know. It could be as simple as the time spent training with his unit, since he seems to have active in other pursuits the last 6-7 years.

. . . . I think that the Major should be reinstated to his duties. Being Jewish is not a sign of disloyalty.
I agree. But when you are a intelligence officer whining to a newspaper is, especially if you are whining about your security clearance being yanked. Given that he went running to the press, do you really think this man should be reinstated to a top security clearence and an intelligence unit? If his clearence was yanked for being Jewish that was clearly wrong, but two wrongs don't make a right.

Show me

Watching Fox and MSNBC during the florida mess, both channels said that absentee ballots from overseas were 1) military personnel and 2) American citizens living in Isreal. Since you take your marching orders from Israel, why dont you call Tel Aviv and ask them, or call the DNC. Im sure they also have those figures.

I do think both can apply, and perhaps do in this case. Just because you ate a sandwich for lunch, doesn’t mean you didn’t also eat a bag of nuts. Or were a bag of nuts.

Of course there is more to the story, and everyone here knows that. But you have to understand that some people are always looking for something that they can claim as "anti-semitism" or anti-something. Some people just love being a victim or part of the oppressed and downtrodden.

I guess you proved my point. Im talking national loyalty and you've converted that into religious loyalty. I can differentiate the two, apparently you dual citizens cant.

I don't need to "call" Tel Aviv. We communicate telepathically- as do all Jews.

You really should be able to distinguish between rumors and facts- even if it was on TV.
